For the second year in a row, the Chattanooga area has produced an impressive list of eight players who have been named semifinalists for the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football award.
Only the regular season is factored into determining the finalists and overall winners; playoff statistics and performances are not part of the selection process. Congrats to all who made it. Link to full story

We would like to thank @TMobile for being selected as an East Division Region Finalist in the 2026 FN5GL contest. Although we didn’t accumulate enough votes to advance to the finals we are proud of the effort put forth by those that voted and helped. Thank you to everyone for your efforts. We look forward to competing again in 2027.

“Not to take anything off winning it — people just don’t remember region championships at South Pittsburg. They do in other places, and it’s fine for them to celebrate them, but for us it’s all about winning another gold ball.” @SPHSPIRATES coach @SPCoachStone after his team wrapped up its eighth straight region title:

Brandon Goldsmith with a pick-six (41-yard return) to begin the second half. @SPHSPIRATES cruising toward their 8th straight region title
Final play of the first half, @Bkisrael22 to @DayonCooper2027 for a 60-yard TD, pushing the @SPHSPIRATES lead to 48-7
One play after the defense forced a turnover, @DayonCooper2027 goes 21 yards for his second TD of the night (had a 31-yard reception earlier) and @SPHSPIRATES extend the lead to 34-7 with 3:18 left before halftime
