“We are dying. What is our sin?”
Give to Gaza: chuffed.org/project/113222-t…
Just two days ago, on November 3rd, the occupation’s strike hit a tent in a crowded encampment near Gaza Municipality Park, in the center of Gaza City. A 16-year-old girl was killed.
This girl speaking was in the tent next door with her sister. In the moments after the bombing, she tried to tell the world what they had just lived through. And she asked a question that should break all our hearts, because there is no answer: What did we do to deserve this?
What “ceasefire” are we talking about when Palestinians are still being killed every day? What has changed for these two sisters, who see the blood of martyrs flowing.
A 16-year-old girl should be here today. Two sisters should be able to fall asleep without wondering if their tent will be next. How can anyone hear this child ask why she and her family have to die and carry on as though this is something the children of Gaza should have to live with?
Listen to her. Share her words. Demand an end to the bombing and the killing.

I know the fatigue has reached your screens, and long days have passed since I warned that our cloth tent has nothing left to sustain us.
As our burning tears dictate:
No walls to shield the cold, no bread to share,
Just nine weak souls adrift in deep despair.
Your prior aid has been a lifeline, but we are standing on the absolute edge, needing $200 to secure the basic survival of my seven children and my baby girl before it is too late.

If you can extend a rescuing hand, however small, please reach out to me this very moment. I need you today more than words can say.

Seven children, including a baby and three under the age of five, are facing hunger. Our basic weekly needs for food and baby formula are still unfulfilled. Is there any merciful heart to help?

Arab Barghouti sat down with Mohammed El-Kurd for Dazed MENA to discuss the fight for the freedom of his father, Marwan Barghouti, and the ongoing fight for Palestinian liberation:
“If you look at Palestinian history, any effective leader gets either killed or put in prison.”

Sometimes, letting Muslim Brotherhood Islamists win elections in the West may be the harshest lesson democracy can teach its own voters. Let people discover the true face of the ideology they voted for: the intolerance disguised as tolerance, the extremism dressed up as progress, and the backwardness sold as a brighter future.
Look at the turmoil in France. Look at the political battles unfolding in Britain, or “Britainstan,” as some now call it. One day, those who voted for extremism may discover that the ballot they cast in the name of progress became a vote against their own freedoms.
The tragedy of democracy is that people sometimes have to experience the consequences of their choices before they understand the value of what they had.
Civilization is easy to take for granted until you realize what it takes to defend it.
