In the latest win for British transport infrastructure we now have a new excuse for @Se_Railway train cancellations - carriages infested with bed bugs so numerous that drivers are refusing to board them, as the bugs prowl their clothes and bags. This country is a messy hellscape.

😲 awful. And that you told them TEN years ago and they still haven't fixed the unsafe ramps is just appalling. I wish you the time, money, headspace and energy to sue them, as the Bank of England can hardly say "we didn't have any £". But I'm aware that isn't always an option.

AGAIN no ramp assistance on arrival at Victoria. Long & scary delay stuck on the train. Platform staff hiding in his booth later told me "not my job to do ramp assistance" - a blatant lie. @SouthernRailUK @railandroad

Robert Sawyer's painting is based on a story told by his mother, who during WW2 saw a schoolboy on a tram with an chamber pot stuck on his head. The boy's mother was taking him to hospital to have it removed. She was so embarrassed that she put his school cap on top of the pot.
