The number of seniors wearing “I voted” stickers in the building today is making my heart happy. Glad to see them doing their civic duty!

November 1 should be an automatic day off for anyone who works with children. TGIF 😅

This Monday was the Mondayest Monday that ever did Monday. Anyone else? 😴

I never imagined I would feel comfortable presenting to my peers, but @kswla has become such a big part of my professional identity and my heart, and this is now something I look forward to so much all year long. Today was such a great day!

Ready for a day of fun and professional growth at the @kswla UnConference! I’ll be presenting about #GalleryWalks at 3:30! Hope to see you there 😁

Me to myself: “How is it ALREADY the end of Q1?!” Me responding: “How is it ONLY the end of Q1?!” 😂 Let’s do this! #wlteacher #teachersofx

We’re having a 🪨 📄 ✂️ tournament for Spirit Week and I told one class about @languageley ‘s sneaky trick. Now every challenge I overhear in the halls they’re doing it to each other. 😂 #strategy

I’m subbing for the choir teacher during my plan period today. Her sub plans are to watch Anastasia (it’s our musical this fall), which just so happens to be one of my favorites from childhood. I’m not mad about it. 😂

I’m excited to present again this year and connect with more of my @kswla colleagues! Hope to see you in Emporia next month! #unconference24 #langchat

I FINALLY watched A Million Miles Away and it was soooo fantastic. I can’t wait to share this with my students. 🚀

Petition to whoever designs emojis… I’d like an artichoke immediately. Can we get that in the next iOS update please?

First day of year 11! Let’s go! #backtoschool #spanishteacher

I just set my alarms for work hours and my heart is so sad. Don’t get me wrong, I’m so excited to get these kids on Thursday, but I love my summer routine. #backtoschool #wlteacher

I go back to work on Monday. I haven’t stepped foot in my classroom since the last day in May. What monstrosity awaits me? #teacherprobs #goodbyesummer

To anyone who thinks teachers make too much or don’t work enough: My brother is a first year teacher who spent countless hours preparing this summer. He just finished his first day with students. It’s 8:43 PM in his time zone, and he’s still at work.

Such a great week at #FM2024!! Until next time, amigas! ❤️

Ahhh! I’ve never seen it for sale in person before! 🐻📚 #FM2024

For the students who repeatedly ask me: yes, I listen to my classroom playlist almost exclusively even when I’m not at school. 😂🎶 #DiegoTorres #SpanishMusic #SongsForSpanishClass #LocuradeMarzo #SpanishTeacher

So incredibly proud of these humans for earning their Seal of Biliteracy in English and Spanish. We had 12 students in total earn them this year, which is nearly a quarter of their entire class!! @kswla @BiliteracySeal @ksdehq @billbiermann1
