Sending NOEA member @gilltee3 and her team much love . Am feeling so much pain in the events industry made worse when watching large crowds at Wimbledon and sport going ahead.

If this happens targeted support for the events industry is needed. Many without income since Oct 2019. worse position to last year and events setting up and have unrecoverable costs. Staff brought off furlough, deposits paid.
NEW: Final decision Monday, but Sun can reveal chances of freedom day on June 21 now next to zero.. plan to announce delay to July 19 - with break clause on July 5 if hospitalisations remain low. But it's not looking good.. thesun.co.uk/news/15241170/b…

Some welcome general support for businesses and jobs but a lot more work to do for #event businesses and #eventprofs where trading activity is currently zero and short time working not viable. Closed sectors of the economy need specific help. @RishiSunak

It’s crucial that @RishiSunak statement tomorrow supports live music. 210,000 people rely on concerts and festivals for employment, but we’ll be one of the last sectors to open. The UK’s live music industry is world-beating. Without support, it won’t survive #LetTheMusicPlayMusic

#rishisunak... On behalf of the 600,000+ working in live events across festivals, concerts, trade shows, theatre, business meetings and conferences, we need support or this industry simply won’t exist. And then who will organise your party conference?

Service companies providing the stages, sound, lighting, video and sets for concerts, festivals and large scale events have had no income out since March and have no prospect of working until mass gatherings can resume. Please don't forget us Mr Johnson.
