Ever feel teams suffer more injuries when things aren't quite clicking? No scientific evidence that Bath's rehab list is in any way related to their struggles on the pitch, but sometimes it feels the two go together! 🤷♂️

Gutting news re Santi. These bloody pitches 🤬
Timely boost on Horse, Arundell and TdG though - we need all three of them back asap
Bath have released an Injury Update
❌Santi Carreras sustained a ruptured ACL and is out for the rest of the season.
🤕Guy Pepper will miss the Autumn Nations Championship with an ankle injury.
✅ Muir, TDG and Arundell are all back in training

Understand that Rhys Carre from Saracens 💫 to Bath 🛁 is a done deal and that the 🏴 prop will move to The Rec after next year’s World Cup as a replacement for Beno Obano.

Gloucester have conceded 67 points through four PREM games. Pretty good!
Spoke to a source about what's different under Joel Tomkins' defence.

Whilst injuries notably to Guy Pepper have impacted it nonetheless is a reflection of Bath’s current form that only 3 players have made it into Borthwick 36 man squad. No gripes on my part.
Training squad announcement 📋
Head coach Steve Borthwick has named a 36-player training squad for a three-day camp ahead of the upcoming November Nations Championship fixtures against Australia, Japan and New Zealand.

🛁 Not looking good for Bath duo Santi Carreras and Guy Pepper, with Johann van Graan issuing a pretty bleak update.

Did anyone do any press after Glos v Bath game? Cant find anything @JohnEvely_BPost? On reflection I hope the senior players got an absolute rocket. Didn't step up and manage the game well at all.

Tackle success of 76%
Opposition concede 20 penalties and 3 yellow card and yet...
16 entries into their 22 resulting in 5 whole points.
2 more frontline players crocked.
Shocking stats.

Grim stat for Bath fans
That is their lowest score in the PREM under JVG, lowest previously under his tenure was 9 scored away to Sale.
It’s also their lowest in the Prem since the 0 scored here in the 64-0 loss - their last loss in the league at Kingsholm until tonight.
Gloucester 82% tackle success excellent given the amount they made, albeit against Bath's blunt, unimaginative attack. As usual Bath's tackle success not great.

Hard not to conclude that this is a bit of a crisis. So inaccurate, we haven’t learned from last season and tonight we reverted to the introverted gameplan that teams now know how to defend (especially when the ball is slow). Second week in a row we are pointless 2nd half…

Bath 2nd half in Prem
2 seasons ago: avg +12 points diff, outscored 2nd half in 2/18 reg season games
Last season: avg+7 in 2nd half, outscored 2nd half in 5/18
This season: avg -13 in 2nd half, outscored 2nd half in 4/4

Yep Russell . Very careless. Arrogant almost . But it must be said that Glos easily the better team tonight. Bath need to ‘sort their heads out’ . Injuries notwithstanding Bath have not been great for a while now. Something missing 🤷♂️

FULLTIME
Gloucester 23-5 Bath
Once again Bath fail to score after halftime this season.
Way too many missed opportunities both in the close range stuff and when the ball did find its way to the backs.
Bath need a reset.
Plenty of talent but something in the air is not right.
