Chicago scored 30 last week. Seattle is a much bigger ask. The Seahawks rank 2nd in pressure rate (45.2%) while blitzing just 29.2%. They also allow the NFLโ€™s lowest explosive-pass rate: 3.2%. This looks like a game Chicago has to win a few yards at a time.

Dallas could feed CeeDee tonight and still attack the wrong spots. 35 of his 69 targets have come 0โ€“9 yards downfield. Philly ranks top eight in all three short zones by yards allowed per target, but 24thโ€“28th from 10โ€“19. Iโ€™d make the Eagles defend that extra depth.

One sack allowed makes Kansas Cityโ€™s protection sound a lot better than it looked. Seattle pressured 41.7% of dropbacks and held the Chiefs 9.8 percentage points below expected completion in a 20โ€“3 win. That sack column was doing Kansas City a lot of favors.

Week 7 was fantasy football at its most ridiculous ๐Ÿ˜… -TB scored 43 points. Baker threw for 64 yards. Read that again. -TENโ€™s Tony Pollard scored THREE rushing TDs against a CLE defense that had allowed ONE all season. Finished with 155 scrimmage yards and 36.5 PPR points. -BAL led 13โ€“0 at halftimeโ€ฆ then allowed TDs on CINโ€™s first FIVE second half possessions. Burrow went 16/18 for 249 yards and 4 TDs after the break. Final: 35โ€“13. -CHIโ€™s Luther Burden needed just FOUR targets for 130 yards. Of those yards, 92 came after the catch. Thatโ€™s 32.5 yards per target ๐Ÿ˜ญ -CLE rookie KC Concepcion put up 152 scrimmage yards without scoring. His 129 receiving yards included 82 YAC. Serious work with the ball in his hands. -LARโ€™s Blake Corum finished with 93 rushing yards and a TDโ€ฆ and had TWO other TD runs wiped out by penalties, including a 43 yarder. ๐Ÿ˜‚Then the TE nonsense: Davis Allen: 20 receiving yards, 2 TDs. Darren Waller: 1 catch, 50 yards, TD. Meanwhile, Amon Ra went 9/153 without a TD and produced 5.10 yards per route. No end zone rescue needed. SNF saved the final punch: SEA held previously unbeaten KC to THREE points. Mahomes: 165 yards, 0 TDs, 1 INT. On the other side, JSN took 44.4% of SEAโ€™s recorded targets and turned them into 9/150/1 ๐Ÿ”ฅ Too much for my brain already.

Omar Cooper Jr. got five targets and still squeezed between Amon-Ra and JSN in yards per route. He caught all five for 115 yards, finishing at 5.00 YPRR. Amon-Ra led this board at 5.10; JSN finished at 4.84 on 12 targets. Higgins was another standout: 148 yards on seven targets and +1.71 EPA per target. He nearly matched JSNโ€™s yardage with five fewer looks. Week 7 WR data dump, through Sunday. Minimum five targets and 20 routes.

Three reasons why Iโ€™m betting AJ Barner receptions. 1๏ธโƒฃ Chiefs Struggle Against Tight Ends Kansas City ranks 31st against TEs for receptions allowed, giving up an average of 7.8 receptions and 11.4 targets per game to the position. One of the most favourable matchups for a TE this week. 2๏ธโƒฃ Strong Snap Involvement & Increasing Usage Barner has an impressive 79.9% route participation rate, meaning heโ€™s consistently involved in Seattleโ€™s passing attack. His targets have also increased compared with the opening two weeks, showing encouraging signs of a growing role. 3๏ธโƒฃ Short Passing Game Suits This Matchup Barnerโ€™s average target depth is just 2.5 yards, making him a short-yardage option for Seattle. With Kansas City allowing plenty of TE targets, thereโ€™s an opportunity for Barner to benefit from quick, underneath passes. All stats provided by @statyxio

We ran 20K Monte Carlo sims for KC @ SEA ๐Ÿˆ Seattle wins 58.2%. The most common exact score? ๐Ÿ“ˆChiefs 20โ€“17 ๐Ÿ‘€ Watch one game at that score in 4.30 minutes. Think youโ€™d call it better? Put those Madden instincts to work. Control offense or defense in Statyx Game Lab. Your turn, coach.

JSN has been getting over a third of Seattleโ€™s targets and nearly half its air yards. Through Week 6: 49 catches, 717 yards on 66 targets. Seattle keeps going back to him, and he keeps producing.
๐Ÿˆ SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL: CHIEFS @ SEAHAWKS ๐Ÿ“Š Statyx projects Seattle for 62.3 plays and a 59.6% pass rate, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba leading the target outlook at 11.8 projected targets and a 75% chance to lead the team. Kansas City projects for 60.8 plays, but its passing volume is more evenly distributed: Travis Kelce leads the TE room at 5.5 individual projected targets, while Xavier Worthy leads the team outlook at 6.0. The coaching angle: Seattleโ€™s pass rate projects 3.0 percentage points below situational expectation, while Kansas City sits close to its baseline. That contrast could shape how both offenses distribute opportunities. ๐Ÿ“ˆ Data-driven matchup breakdown powered by @statyxio

Waller had no catches last week. Takes his first one today 50 yards for a touchdown. Still moving pretty well for a guy they let get that open.

Gainwell hadnโ€™t topped 18 rushing yards in a game this season. Heโ€™s got 37 on five carries already today. GIVE HIM SOME MORE.

Getting plenty of questions about Woody Marks with him leading the HOU backfield this week. I get the appeal. The matchup looks almost tailor made. ๐Ÿ“ˆ62.1% of his charted carries are gap runs. NYG ranks 30th defending those concepts by yards per carry allowed. His rush map points toward more openings: โ€ข Middle: 26% of carries, NYG ranks 30th โ€ข Right guard: 17%, NYG ranks 27th โ€ข Right tackle: 21%, NYG ranks 25th But the runner still has to take advantage. Marksโ€™ underlying numbers: โ€ข 2.41 yards after contact/attempt โ€” 24th percentile โ€ข โˆ’0.34 rushing yards over expected/attempt โ€” 34th โ€ข 32.8% rushing success rate โ€” 24th โ€ข 0% breakaway run rate on 15+ yard runs โ€” 18th His tackle evasion is in the 70th percentile, so there are positives. Still, the efficiency profile is much shakier than the matchup alone suggests. And NYGโ€™s weaknesses arenโ€™t universal. They rank second toughest by red zone rushing TD rate allowed. Allowing yards between the 20s and allowing rushing touchdowns are different things. Can volume and a favorable matchup carry him? Absolutely. This is how Rush IQ connects context with the runner, the concepts and the defensive weaknesses. You shouldnโ€™t need 15 tabs and a spreadsheet to work out whether the numbers actually support each other. โ€œNYG is bad against the run and Woody is RB1โ€ is where the research starts. Contextualised matchup data > โ€œwho allows what.โ€

Saturday night final checks ๐Ÿˆ The last round of Week 7 moves just landed. Here's what changed since Friday's designations. Downgraded โ€ข Lamar Jackson (out, ankle). Third straight missed game with the high ankle sprain. He took most first-team reps Friday, but it's Snoop Huntley under center vs. Cincinnati again. โ€ข Theo Johnson (out, neck). Giants downgraded their TE for Sunday at Houston. Back for Sunday โ€ข Josh Jacobs (activated, expected to play) at Detroit โ€ข Jordan Mason (activated off IR, expected to play) vs. the Colts. Thumb is good enough. โ€ข Dylan Sampson (activated off IR, no injury tag) vs. the Titans โ€ข Jonah Coleman (activated, expected to play) for Denver โ€ข Tank Dell (activated, expected to play) for Houston โ€ข Christian Kirk (activated off IR, expected to play). With Deebo (out), the 49ers needed that one. Mason and Sampson coming back makes Minnesota and Cleveland's backfields a lot more crowded. First half snap shares will tell us who actually owns the work. Huntley starting again is the headline though. Who are you watching closest on Sunday?

Same coverage, two totally different answers ๐Ÿ‘€ CIN's Cover 1 has allowed 8.16 yards per target. KC's has allowed just 3.77. And Zay Flowers has a 33.3% target rate vs man and 36.8% vs zone. The shell matters as much as the man or zone label. Which Week 7 WR matchup are you watching most? ๐Ÿˆ
