Today I retired from the NYPD.
This is my Retirement Farewell Message To The Members of the New York City Police Department. (1/2)
As we remember Sir Patrick Stewart (@SirPatStew), Iβve been thinking about the impact his portrayal of Jean-Luc Picard had on my own approach to leadership.
For me, Picard wasn't just a character. He became a benchmark.
For me, Picard set the standard for professional conduct: be fair, be curious, be accountable, and treat people with dignity. Judge yourself by whether you acted with integrity, not solely by whether you achieved the outcome you wanted.
If I had to create a 10 Episode essential Jean-Luc Picard must watch list, it would be:
1) The Measure of a Man
2) Best of Both Worlds I
3) Best of Both Worlds II
4) Family
5) Darmok
6) The Inner Light
7) The Drumhead
8)Chain of Command, Part II
9) Tapestry
10) All Good Things..

"Let's make sure history never forgets the name... Enterprise. Picard Out!" π
RIP Sir Patrick Stewart | 1940-2026 π #StarTrek
Detective Bobby Parker and Detective Pat Rafferty were murdered in the line of duty on September 10, 2004.
Two great men I had the honor to know and work with at the @NYPD67Pct.

Very cool to see @WilliamShatner and TOS cast on the big screen for an episode of Star Trek.

As the 25th anniversary of the September 11th attack approaches, Ron and special guest co-host Ret Deputy Inspector Tony Raganella will be joined tomorrow night (Wed) at 5:05 PM EST by Ret NYPD Lieutenant and the Director of Research for @ODMP Steve Weiss for a special segment. They will discuss the ongoing health effects of that fateful day and the death toll known to date. Tony will open up and share his personal story of advocating for the inclusion of a rare liver disease he has contracted in the list of βcertifiedβ ailments covered by the @WTCHealthPrgm.
Congratulations to my FBI NA 265 classmate and friend, Chief Ken McCoy on 3 years with @TempePolice.
Tempe is lucky to have him leading the way.
Three years ago, I was honored to become Chief of the @TempePolice . Iβm incredibly proud of what weβve accomplished together and even more excited about whatβs ahead. Thank you to our employees, our community, and our city leaders for your trust and support. I invite you to watch my three-year reflection. π₯β¬οΈ

The @peacock broadcast of the Yankees games brutal to listen to. Four guys talking over each other.
Only Joe Gerardi sounds coherent.
Keep the Yankees games on @YESNetwork with @RealMichaelKay and the YES team.
Thankfully @AppleTV provides the Yankees radio broadcasts as a separate audio choice.
@davesims_ is 1000% better than the disaster Apple TV team that was calling yesterdayβs game.
