Out today @arxiv: arxiv.org/abs/2308.16009. We (with @stockerlidia) harness tensor networks to find the many-body phases of separated quantum dots. Here, coherent RKKY interaction leads to a spatial superposition of Kondo singlets, dubbed Kondo cat. @UniKonstanz @ETH_physics

Excited to host Dante Kennes for the students' choice Zurich Physics Colloquium tomorrow!
Tomorrow, 31 May, 16:15 @ETH_en Hönggerberg
Final Zurich Physics Colloquium #zhphyscoll of this semester, with Dante Kennes (@RWTH & @MPSDHamburg) on moiré heterostructures as a platform for quantum simulation.

Very nice poster pitch session at the @ETH_en #Quantum Center Meeting in #Schatzalp, #Davos with great presentations by @EliasPortoles @Faistgroup_ETH @Zilberberg_Phys and many more ….
Before discovering my passion for condensed matter physics🤩, I played a bit around with cellular automata, looking for periods and ergodicity🤓. My Master's semester project @ETH_physics is out as a contribution in

Happy new year! We are hiring! We have several open PhD and postdoc positions @Zilberberg_Phys @UniKonstanz starting spring 2022. Come work with us on out-of-equilibrium strongly-correlated effects. You can apply here: zilberberg.uni-konstanz.de/h…

Thank you @ETH_physics for the farewell ode: phys.ethz.ch/news-and-events…. Stay tuned for open position announcements @UniKonstanz
For a truly memorable first conference as PhD students @Eth_phys, we travelled by 🚆 and 🚍 to the last village in Ötztal. There, we saddled up on our 🚴♂️ and reached Levico in a two-day ride. Plan for the following three days: Tensor Network workshop 🤓#ethgreenkilometers
and after an intensive 3x11-hour days workshop: recovery time on the way back to Zurich 🙌 #moveETH #ethgreenkilometers
We were asked to capture our research in one image.🎓We couldn't decide between our analytical or numerical efforts.🤓 We ended up combining the two🤗 Have a look and stay tuned @Zilberberg_Phys
I bet you can’t wait to find out which group we are discovering today! It’s the Electronic and Photonic Quantum Engineered Systems Group (quest.phys.ethz.ch/) led by Prof. @Zilberberg_Phys at @ETH_physics!
The group analyses #quantum #engineered systems theoretically. (1/3)

Something regarding my roots, as a first tweet. My father, second from the beginning, is a full-time beekeeper. The documentary is in Italian, but it is definitely possible to catch a couple of nice images;) rsi.ch/g/12976340
