Duane from @Mimecast is currently explaining Security Solutions: What are we using? #BetterTogether Venue: @TheSiloHotel Host+Facilitator: @davidjbell Tweets by @MayKingTea

From a cyber security perspective our clients need further education and urgent conversations The key word to come out of our conversations is partnership explains Duane from @Mimecast #BetterTogether Venue: @TheSiloHotel Host+Facilitator: @davidjbell Tweets by @MayKingTea

We need to make conversations simpler Think the housing crisis where it took a film like The Big Short to explain things in layman's terms. Our partnerships will be better with simpler communication like this movie Duane - @Mimecast #BetterTogether with @davidjbell

Email usage is rising meaning email-based threats are also rising Event with emails in a comic sans font are being clicked on which we need to be aware of: @Mimecast #BetterTogether Venue:@TheSiloHotel Host+Facilitator: @davidjbell Tweets: @MayKingTea

a lot of discussions in response to rising email risks are happening right now where we do start conversations with our clients? awareness is not enough appears to be the general consensus in the room #BetterTogether Venue: @TheSiloHotel Host+Facilitator: @davidjbell

it's not enough to send email to the whole organisation telling people not to click on an email. That's like telling everyone be careful when crossing the street. Minimizing risk is not enough @Mimecast #BetterTogether

Collaborative using tools like Slack, Teams, Zoom etc This will be the new vector of attack warns Duane from @Mimecast so we need to educate our partners on how to minimise risk in this new arena #BetterTogether Venue: @TheSiloHotel Host: @davidjbell Tweets: @MayKingTea

Phishing in terms of scale has had an increased success rate based on a report compiled by @Mimecast Spoof has also been on the rise and Ransomware has impacted mental health which has resulted in churn #BetterTogether

In reality we are all end users so when in educating our clients / partners don't point the blame on users because we have all been caught out or have the potential to be caught out @Mimecast #BetterTogether Host: @davidjbell Tweets: @maykingtea Venue: @TheSiloHotel

so what do we do to combat increased email risk? Duane from @mimecast suggests the following: Awareness training needs to be more than a conversation by the water cooler #BetterTogether Host: @davidjbell Tweets: @maykingtea Venue: @TheSiloHotel #cyberrisk #phishing

How else can we manage risk? Integration + automation recommends @Mimecast #BetterTogether #cybersecurity #cyberrisk #emailsecurity Host: @davidjbell @ChatBoxPr Tweets: @MayKingTea venue: @TheSiloHotel
