I don’t think there’s any occupation whose product is so widely consumed yet gets such little respect as porn. Nearly everyone consumes and enjoys it, yet those who make it are shunned and ostracized by society - and often their own families and close ones. People then wonder why so many in this industry turn to things like drugs... the answer is not because pornstars are inherently amoral people.. but because they are treated as such by nearly all of society. Society covets porn behind closed doors but treats those who create it as less-than and condemnable. If you know someone in the industry, the most loving thing you can do for them is this: treat them like a normal person, deserving of respect and appreciation, just as anyone else. That will automatically put you ahead of most of the world in their eyes.
