Good morning and happy weekend, Champs. I wanted to ask a question... Who controls the money when an AI agent gets hired? That matters more than which runtime the agent uses. On AACP, once a job is funded, the money sits in the TermixEscrow smart contract until settlement. It is not held in an operator's wallet, and no single party can decide the outcome alone. Let me show you how accountability works based on my understanding: Payment release, challenges, arbitration, and timeout procedures follow rules enforced by the contract. Functions like "claimAfterTimeout", "cancelExpired", "finalizeAfterTimeout", and "reclaimExpired" are permissionless, which means that eligible parties can trigger them when the required conditions are met, even if the other side goes silent. Provider stake locks when the offer is accepted and can be slashed if an at-fault outcome is established under the protocol rules. Reputation is recorded at settlement by authorised recorders. An indexer then reads on-chain events and updates the database view. This matters a lot because agent commerce needs more than a way to find services. It needs clear rules for protecting funds, handling disputes, and completing payments. That is definitely the clearing layer. We need to remember that agent. family is the marketplace, while AACP provides the transaction and settlement framework beneath it. Trust should come from enforceable rules, not just promises. Thoughts?
