I got MBP with an M1 Max (max specs) and I compared my NixOS VM performance to my 2017 iMac Pro and its a bit ridiculous (the M1 Max smashes it). See some screenshots. Note: all from my VM. CPU: 7.6x faster Memory: 2.2x faster File IO: 8x faster (not fair, iMac is fusion drive).

I'm happier with my editor setup than I have been in quite some time. I don't shut up about Nvim LSP and friends primarily because it's just been working so damn well for me.

I tried to find any tweets about it but failed, so: Bloop 1.4.3 released (scalacenter.github.io/bloop/…). At least for me it fixed one annoying issue which I had with one of RC version.

One thing I've been trying to do with handsonscala.com is to make sure it looks *good*. Syntax highlighting, backgrounds, font weights, 2D layouts, all to make it a joy to read both colored-on-screen and greyscale-in-print. No more endless walls of black-and-white text!
