BBC Calls Him a “Junta Leader” Because They Cannot Say The Truth: Captain Ibrahim Traoré Stopped Allowing The West To Control Burkina Faso’s Mineral Wealth. He Opened Burkina Faso’s First Gold Refinery So The Gold Stays, The Jobs Stay, And The Profit Stays. For Decades The West Dug It, Shipped It, Refined It, And Left Burkina Faso With Dust. That Era Is Over. He Expelled French Troops. He Cut The Colonial Leash. He Took The Mines Back. He Is Building The Value Chain At Home. That Is Not a Junta. That Is a Country Standing Up. Call Him What He Is: The Man Who Ended The West’s Claim On Burkina Faso’s Gold. 🇧🇫🔥

Dear Ramou T, this is the second time I’ve eaten food that felt like I was tasting my money. The first experience was at a Japanese restaurant in Uganda.

Let’s Keep the Money Home 🇬🇲 Every month, millions in remittances flow into The Gambia… but most of that money leaves just as fast. Why? Because too few Gambians own the businesses providing the products and services we spend on. If you send $100 home, ask yourself how much of it actually stays in our economy? When you pay for building materials, groceries, or healthcare who benefits from that transaction? 👉🏾 Over 50% of remittances go toward building materials, yet only a small fraction of that money remains in Gambian hands. That means our hard-earned money from abroad isn’t building the future we dream of. But we can change that. 💪🏾 When we invest in Gambian-owned businesses, we create jobs, support families, and make our money work longer within our communities. This isn’t about competition it’s about collaboration and ownership. It’s about building a sustainable system where Gambians at home and abroad can thrive together. Let’s make our remittances count. Let’s build Gambian industries that serve our people. Let’s keep the money home. 🇬🇲 #BuildGambia #EconomicLiberation
