The National Education Union and its members have my 100% backing in taking this necessary action to protect the safety and lives of staff, pupils and the wider community.
Today, the National Education Union has taken the difficult decision to advise its members in primary schools that it is unsafe to return to work on Monday. #MakeSchoolsSafe to #ProtectCommunities. Click here for full statement: neu.org.uk/press-releases/ne…
We support the National Association of Headteachers in their legal action against our reckless government

The National Education Union has today advised its members in primary schools that it is unsafe to return on Monday and has called for online learning instead.
I fully support this move.
Solidarity @NEUnion!

No child should return to school after the holidays too hungry to learn. Sign and share our letter to @GavinWilliamson urging him to work to #ENDCHILDFOODPOVERTY by extending #FSM over the holidays.

📢 Rally at the Treasury 📢
⏰ 11am, Fri 30th Oct
The Tories have killed over 60 000 people in the UK. Ordinary people are facing a second wave of the virus and redundancies and poverty.

By the students who brought you the A-level U-turn - let’s get onto the streets and demand the Tories don’t stand in the way of hungry kids being fed this winter.
THIS SAT 12:30pm
Downing St

Too many A-Level students have had their hopes unfairly dashed. Students who did well in their mocks are getting grades far lower than expected because of what school they went to
We have to a force a u-turn. There will be a protest tomorrow at 12pm at N10. Be as safe possible
