Some youths came to his shop to buy goods. When Nadeem Ansari (25) asked for payment, they refused. An argument started. One of them allegedly brought petrol from the market. Then they reportedly poured it on Nadeem and set him on fire. The accused then locked the shop from outside and ran away.
Locals saw flames and tried to put out the fire. Nadeem did not survive.
Angry family and villagers put the body on the road, blocked the highway, and burnt tyres. Officers reached only after hours of protest.

Disturbing visuals: 18 year old Sameer Jabbar Patel died after being mercilessly beaten in an Ashram compound in Tuljapur taluka of Osmanabad (Dharashiv) district. His friend Arbaz Afsar Syed was also beaten and is undergoing treatment with severe injuries. Both the boys were forcibly taken to a spot and beaten up with belts and rods by a group of 20 persons on the suspicion that they were speaking to non Muslim girls! In the visuals it’s clearly seen how the Maharaj of the ashram is not even bothered to look at the hapless boy being beaten up. Request @DGPMaharashtra @DharashivPolice to arrest all the accused and take stringent action against them. Our team presented a memorandum to the SP and district collector. A former municipal council president Santosh Parmeshwar Kadam who was also involved in the attack has been arrested so far while the others are yet to be arrested. I will personally be visiting the victims family soon. If immediate and strict action is not taken we Will hold a massive morcha in Tuljapur @CMOMaharashtra @Dev_Fadnavis
