The number of faded crosswalks on the eastern edge of @Bklyn_CB9 seems incredibly high. @eanorv is there a way to do a bulk request for restriping by @NYC_DOT? So much has advanced with Vision Zero but I find the markings frequency remains woefully inadequate. @nypublicservant
Thanks @NYC_DOT & @Bklyn_CB9 for getting East NY Ave crosswalks restriped. It makes a huge difference! The bike lane there still needs love before markings season ends but my kids spotted the fresh thermoplast and said yay! @eanorv @nypublicservant
Wasn’t the point of street master plan to make @NYC_DOT evaluate possibility for #bikenyc infrastructure when repaving? Touring my childhood neighborhood today & there’s no way any consideration was made before marking this 65’ roadway up same as it was. @StreetsblogNYC
This pic is literally one minute bike ride from existing infrastructure. @NYC_DOT should be JUMPING on low hanging fruit like this. 156th Ave is absolutely wide enough for class 2, maybe even class 1 protected lanes! Take it up 79th street & u quickly connect to Loring Ave lanes.

Crazy we’ve had the Flatbush Ave #bikenyc lane for 7 years already by @prospect_park & still don’t have connections to it from neighborhoods to the east. New Ocean Ave work is good but for anyone in crown heights or PLG, this is the attempt to get to a protected lane. @eanorv

B12 bus riders should be pissed. This mechanic shop does good work but leaves cars to block the @NYCTBus stop. Now that the B12 has cameras, they cover up the plates w tape daily. Also, they hide the @FDNY hydrant under an orange cone. @NYCSanitation should enforce. @eanorv
I love seeing this on Rogers and wish more utility boxes could double as canvases. What say you @NYCulture? @eanorv how about we make @Bklyn_CB9 a pilot area for some visual beautification by local artists? Plain silver boxes don’t add much to the area. Art does. @NYCMayor

This vehicle has been illegally parked for a week+ at East NY Ave & Brooklyn Ave. Whoever drives it also speeds regularly & incurred 18K in fines. @NYPD71Pct, please ticket this illegal parking so the corner has its visibility. @NYC_DOT, pls consider planters. @eanorv @Bklyn_CB9
Many violations against basic sidewalk safety by the repair shop on E NY Ave & Troy but curios if @NYPD71Pct @NYCSanitation has ever fined them for covering up the @FDNY hydrant with a traffic barrel every day. @eanorv @Bklyn_CB9 @nyc311 who regulates these shops? @NYC_Buildings
I hope @NYC_DOT is reading this #bikenyc Reddit thread and looking for ways to improve the system. valid reasons for the delays, but overall… there is endless frustration & danger when repavings take so long & are often returned to insufficient markings. reddit.com/r/NYCbike/comment…
Most crossing guards are amazing & safely help kids. This supervisor did not. He blocked a crosswalk for over a minute as my kids crossed. He shouldn’t be standing there to converse with the guard on site. @NYPD71Pct @nyc311 how do we flag this properly?
