move it slightly down and you reach 1T
Can anywhere else in the world beat Midtown Manhattan's $753B in GDP? Or $1.473M per capita?

working on allowing agents to create cad designs. It's going pretty well. Here is a sneak peak. The design and the simulation environment were all generated using llms. the suspension system actually works!!!! it's mad cool.

does a cs education at a t20 college prepare you for whats to come. I fear that the word vibe coding has become too much of taboo here. imo we need to move atleast some focus away from fundamentals towards using ai, and i haven't see a fast enough shift at my college.

why do openai models care about time. Is this something baked in or like. This is what my model spit back at me. Is this normal???? reasoning summary btw

Today, we’re launching an ambitious new school called The Horowitz Andreessen Academy. Based in San Francisco, The Academy serves the most promising young high school graduates. We think this can be an elite institution that attracts top tier talent. One that prepares students for the future rather than remaining stuck in the past. The #1 goal is to help students learn to build, which is the most important skill in the AI era. They'll learn primarily by pursuing their own projects, either individually or in groups. There are classes and guest lectures, too, from some truly amazing people who have built modern-day Silicon Valley. The Academy is designed as a network, since that’s the reason students go to school in the first place. Core to that network are our 10 Founding Partners: Anduril, Anthropic, Coinbase, Google, Meta, NVIDIA, OpenAI, Palantir, Replit, and Stripe. The network includes over 50 hiring partners and over 200 speakers and mentors. To join as a hiring partner or faculty member, you can apply on our website. We raised $42M in funding led by @a16z. I'll be CEO and @pmarca and @eriktorenberg will join me on the board. Applications are open for our Founding Class Fellowship, which will be one year and tuition-free. Eventually, pending regulatory approval, we plan to offer a two-year program that charges tuition, similar in cost to an elite private university. We're looking for the most unusually ambitious young builders on the planet. Come join us in San Francisco: theacademysf.com/

Wow something atlman, musk and dario agree on. Must be really important then
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. You can read the full post here: darioamodei.com/post/we-must…

Replying to @davis7
@davis7 you never mentioned this in nerdsnipe hahaha lol, also isn't basically cheating if you have access to a model everyone else doesn't have access too.
GPT-6 Astra is our best model yet for computer use, software engineering, and visual understanding to date. Hear from the builders putting it to work:

What an odd hour to release
We are starting to release GPT-6 Astra and we are doing it as carefully and quickly as possible. It was very important to us that we bring it to all Plus users and not only Pro, Business and Enterprise. It will take a few days for the rollout to complete and behind the scenes many novel systems will operate at scale for the first time and we are bringing a lot of compute up. It is pure magic. openai.com/index/gpt-6-astra…

i think i more excited for a deepswe v2 than a model drop (unless the model is astra)

Guys please watch this. Creatives deserve infinitely more than getting their efforts replaced by bad slop. We need more humans, not more bots :) youtu.be/-Gnrp_caPvo?si=pYuz…
