This afternoon I slept and dreamed it had all slipped away , that we were all ambling to the funeral of life . We were sobbing over Swallows and Small Coppers , crying about Cuckoos and porpoises , choking and gasping about rivers and meadows . And when I woke up . . . the world was on fire
