For everyone still calling it queerbaiting after Jojo’s clarifications: respectfully leave my timeline. This is basically saying that two people can’t be close friends without it being sexual and that’s just fucking wrong. Are you calling John Lennon and Paul McCartney’s friendship queerbaiting? Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson? Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez? Literally anybody who has a friend that they are so close to that they love so much? Relationships come in many forms. Platonic love is a thing. It can be just as important as romantic love to a person. Don’t trivialize these relationships just because your favs aren’t kissing for your enjoyment. As long as they do this respectfully it’s not queerbaiting and to think that Jojo will do anything related to lgbt and queerness with anything less than respect is honestly insulting. If you know anything about this man you know how important this community is to him. He wouldn’t ever do anything to hurt it. But here you all are, attacking him and attacking the boys. Can’t we just be happy with whatever projects WilliamEst choose to take on? I’m sure they’ve already discussed it and thought things through countless times before making any decisions. PPW, GF, PS, and WE are all close friends, and I’m sure they’re more than happy to have the opportunity to work together and create something alongside their friends.
As fans, regardless of which fandom we belong to, can’t we just be happy for them, support their projects, and appreciate their work without constantly dragging or putting each other down?
