Dharashiv - A horrifying abduction unfolded in Kalamb taluka of Dharashiv district after a man and four accomplices forced their way into a home in Borada village, brutally assaulted the victim's mother and sister with a sword, and forcibly kidnapped a young woman in an car. The suspects fled the scene at high speed toward Kalamb city, hitting multiple bystanders along the road and injuring two people. Police immediately gave chase, eventually cornering the vehicle near Ambajogai. A tense 30-minute standoff ensued as the main suspect held the woman hostage inside the car with a machete, threatening to end both their lives. Displaying immense bravery, police officers intervened to disarm the suspect and rescue the victim. Officer Ganesh Waghmode successfully disarmed the attacker, while officer Hanumant Gaikwad sustained severe injuries during the scuffle. The primary suspect was arrested at the scene, and police have launched a manhunt to track down the three fleeing accomplices.

Hyderabad: Man dies by suicide after alleged harassment by Bandi Sanjay's aide
A person with disabilities died by suicide in Hyderabad on Saturday, November 7, due to alleged harassment of his by Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar's aide.
In a video shared on social media, the man identified himself as Shiva Kalapelli, " Hello everyone, I am a resident of Kisan Nagar, in Karimnagar. I was born with a disability. After my birth, doctors said I wouldn't be able to walk for life. However, my mother was adamant about taking care of me. My family has supported me throughout.
Kalapelli said he has an elder brother and sister; his brother Naveen is a member of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi youth wing. "Since childhood, I have had 10 surgeries, and my brother has been supporting me financially.
He also helped me when I had a kidney operation last year," Kalapelli added.
He accused Somidi Venu, a corporator and an aide of Bandi Sanjay, of harassing Naveen for the past couple of years. Kalapelli alleged that before becoming a corporator, Venu visited their residence and offered a check of Rs 4 lakh to Naveen to leave the BRS and support him.
"When Naveen refused to quit the BRS, Venu threatened to harass our family after he wins the elections," Kalapelli said. He added that after becoming a corporator, Venu sent a notice to his family stating that their house would be demolished.
Kalapelli showed the notice in the video and, with a trembling voice, said, "Venu continued to harass my family despite knowing that I am disabled and Naveen is the only one supporting the family."
The man also said that the notice came when Naveen and their mother were visiting their sick aunt. "Naveen has two children; what will happen to them if our house is demolished. I want to ask Bandi Sanjay: what is the point of supporting corporators who don't spare disabled people?," Kalapelli said.
