#MorningPrayer (Mat 1) Help me be the kind of man, father, husband, servant, leader, Christ-follower that my great, great, great grandchildren would be proud to see listed in their geneology, family tree.

One reason many Evangelicals easily separate the President’s character from his policies is they’ve long been conditioned to separate character from belief. For too many, how you live matters less than whether you believe the “right” things. A destructive form of Christianity.

#MorningPrayer (Is 65) False holiness, calling out "evildoers" while refusing to actually live out of Your desired purity and loving justice, is an affront to You, Creator. Help me embrace your whole gospel, including awareness of my brokenness and potential through Your spirit

#MorningPrayer (Is 64) Your way is best, yet you do not force us to "comply" but allow us to set our own course. We can sail toward you, or into danger and destruction. My rudder is laid into your Word, I want to move in your currents, blow Spirit, I pray.

#MorningPrayer (Is 63) You reveal, caring Creator, that you feel distress when your children are troubled. You send angels to watch over those who are distraught. Fill today sorrowing souls with your protective mercy and deep sense of loving precence.

#MorningPrayer (Is 62) You love all nations but call Israel your bride, desiring to protect her. Yet she was plundered and responded with more bloodshed. Time after time. You call the church your bride, but again plundered and shed blood. How long, oh Lord?

#MorningPrayer (Matt 5) Let my light shine today. I have no light on my own. But I want to feel and as the warmth of your light shine through to bring hope to others today. Help me, Jesus.
7
#MorningPrayer (Is 61) Help us to carry on the mission of Jesus to proclaim good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.

#MorningPrayer (Is 60) King Jesus, You plant shoots in the ground that become forests and small gatherings of believers that become thousands. Watch over tiny church plants all over the world, shelter them in their formation, cause those that seek you fully to flourish!

#MorningPrayer (Is 59) Leaders around us may envision violence and selfish schemes that lay viper eggs in the minds of the people, we stumble through a haze of lies and Your holy justice will not enter without repentance. Let no vipers hatch in our hearts as we look to Jesus.

#MorningPrayer (Is 58) Guide us during this political season to do away with the yoke of oppression and malicious talk, to be spent on behalf of the hungry and provide shelter for the wandering and forlorn, that your prescence might truly be with us.

#MorningPrayer (Is 56) My Lord, you loathe silent priests and prophets, watchmen who will not bark out warnings when our actions betray your holiness, love and justice even as you welcome the stranger and foreigner so many seek to attack. Grant courage and clarity.
17
#MorningPrayer (Is 55) I come to you, Savior, at your kind invitation, free of charge, to eat of your holy bread and drink of your living water. Keep me from snacking on the junk food and fake energy drinks this world offers that I may be nourished only by that which brings life
9
#MorningPrayer (Is 54) Sing, barren church who has seen no new souls, burst into song! Shout, embattled congregation, who has not gone into labor, for your God desires fruitful births. Do not hold back on inviting the stranger, for the Lord desires new life in this generation.

#MorningPrayer (Is 53) I cannot meditate upon this text without the clearest awareness that your eternal plan for our salvation was set into motion before we even fell from grace. Your foreknowledge and choice of redemption amaze me. I am undone.
15
#MorningPrayer (Is 52) Jesus, suffering servant of the Lord, for our sake you were disfigured, marred, destroyed even as the nations have disfigured, marred and destroyed one another. Your blood was sprinkled over every nation, an atonement for all human sin. Just, awful praise.
11
#morningprayer (Is 52) How beautiful are the feet of they who bring good news, tidings of liberation to the oppressed, hope for the crushed underfoot, to be destroyed and humiliated no more, to be saved. Show your strong arm Mighty God.

"No group of Americans seems to be having more sex—and more satisfying sex—than married men & women who regularly attend a place of worship. In fact, we find the only Americans who have avoided the country’s “sex recession” are husbands & wives who attend religious services at least twice a month." ~ my latest @TheAtlantic w/ @grantjbailey
"In the popular imagination, religious faith and a thriving sex life don’t tend to go together. Movies, books, and TV shows depict religious couples as sexually inhibited or dysfunctional. But the data tell a different story." @TheAtlantic theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0… @FamStudies

#MorningPrayer (Is 51) God, help us when we find we have power not to abuse it, not to take your vengeance into our hands, but to return kindness for cruelty, liberty for oppression. Help us love our enemies to change the world.

#MorningPrayer (Is 50) Humiliation and shame, abuse and terror flow from what those outside heap upon me. But when you well up from within, Lion of Judah, there is no shame, fear is thrust away by your perfect love, and I will endure and see victory.
