自動運転の車が動く仕組みを、中高生と一緒に学びました🚗
先日、newmoの開発拠点に、中高生女子を10名お呼びして、自動運転の仕組みを紹介しつつ、ガレージを見学するというイベントを行いました。
このプログラムは、メルカリ創業者である山田進太郎氏がSTEM（科学、技術、工学、数学）分野でのジェンダーギャップ解消を目指し設立した財団のプログラムの一つです。
中高生女子のみなさんに向けて、STEM分野で働く人や現場に触れる機会を提供するものですが、newmoでは、自動運転についての仕組みを説明することで、理解を深めたり興味を持ってもらう、ということをしました。
たとえば、説明の中では、自動運転の仕組みを「認知（見る）→判断（考える）→操作（動かす）」の3ステップで紹介し、実際の開発車両も見学してもらっています。
実際に開発現場を自分の目で見ていただき、質問などもしてもらうことで、将来の選択肢のイメージの手助けになればと願っています。
