Hasan Piker explained how fascism is a continuation of capitalism. He is correct:
"Fascism is what is deployed when capital feels the volatility; when capital feels the fear. The final project is never to implement a truly white state or a state comprised entirely of the in-group.
Fascism is simply a means of control when the economic forces make the working class uncontrollable. Fascism is capitalism in crisis and that's precisely the reason why these groypers cannot establish primacy.
Fascism has always served capital. Racist vitriol serves one purpose; it's to divide the working class, to force them away from recognizing their class position and to focus on vulgar tribalism, ethnonationalism, religious differences.
It's a mechanism of deflection to rid the blame from those who are responsible, those who actually control the levers of power. Those who control the levers of power are not organized around ethnic boundaries; they are organized around their class position. They are capitalists. They are self-interested."

THIS is why they don’t like him. It’s not because he’s Muslim or socialist, it’s because he wants to stop their bipartisan gravy train.
🇺🇸 El-Sayed says the same people are financing the Republicans and the Democrats:
“People don't trust our party because too often we're funded by the very same people who fund Republicans... Can we actually cut the cord that we've had to corporate money and start governing like we give a damn about working people?”

James Talarico, who flipped the senate seat to the Democrats, on Gaza:
There was a theologian who said 'I screamed at God for the starving children until I realized the starving children was God screaming at me.'
Dems should listen to their newly elected who bring ethics and a soul to the party, and who resonate with the electorate.
They should realize that this victory should never be followed by business as usual.
Trump took part of the electorate captive because he could channel their anger. people are past anger now, they are asking for mercy and redemption through a moral revolution.

Non-NYer’s won’t pick up on the significance of this, but the Mayor’s and Governor’s offices have historically had a very adversarial relationship. Hochul and Mamdani working this closely together is a monumental change in NY politics. Hasn’t been like this since the ‘50s.

NewJeans' contracts reportedly allow their label, ADOR, to use AI-generated versions of the members' voices indefinitely, even after their deals expire in 2029. 🤖
According to The New York Times, the "unusually restrictive" agreements allow ADOR to license the members' voices and likenesses for AI voice clones and chatbots without their approval, although the artists must be compensated.
All five members were between 14 and 17 when they signed.

Since the midterms, I have gone from elation to despair, regarding Jeffries and Schumer. I needed to keep track of who’s supporting them and who’s against them, so I built something to keep track.
It’s called The Record.
