So true. And the verse broadly addresses love placed between groups of people who were previously hostile to each other, on wider societal bonding across communities when war was the norm as it is now. The Quran calls for deep reflection but translation often dilutes the essence.

the quran in arabic just hits different, the poetry and the weight of each word. the english translation feels so empty and stripped from any sentiment, what an emotionally deprived language
