no matter what i write, i can’t stress enough just how big of an achievement becoming the cvb ratings champion actually is. it’s the achievement of all achievements. even in their wildest dreams, i can assure you the lament of autumn team never saw this coming 😅

xuruohan and chenglei’s the lament of autumn becomes the 2026 provincial satellite tv cvb ratings champion (!!!!!!!!) 🍾 holds the number one spot in prime-time satellite tv ratings for 16 consecutive days, and surpasses the 0.7% real-time ratings mark for the 8th time !! !! 🥳 last week, the drama achieved the highest daily cvb average rating among hunantv / mangotv dramas this year, reaching an impressive 0.516%, not only solidifying its position at the top but also becoming the first hunantv drama to break the 0.5% daily average mark this year !! and today, the drama not only officially topped the 2026 cvb overall average viewership rankings, but also became the first drama on provincial satellite tv to break the 0.4% mark this year, reaching an average cvb viewership rating of 0.404% 🥳 (the drama was previously tied for first place with the inner eye, which had an average of 0.397%) it’s also worth noting that the lament of autumn’s predecessor had an average cvb viewership rating of just 0.17%, so the drama had virtually no momentum to build on. it really had to climb from the bottom all the way to the very top of the yearly ratings rankings! - so, the lament of autumn according to cvb data up to november 1st: 15 consecutive days at no. 1, a highest daily average rating of 0.516% (highest of 2026, only drama to break the 0.5 mark), and an overall average viewership rating of 0.404% (highest of 2026, only drama to break the 0.4 mark). the 2026 champion !! !!! 😭🥳🎉🍾 as for kuyun, today’s real-time ratings (episodes 31–32) reached an impressive peak of 0.7110%, breaking the 0.7% mark for the 8th time !! meanwhile, its daily average rating reached 0.6219%, surpassing the 0.6% mark for the fourth consecutive time !!!!!!!! 🥳🥳 this year, only the lament of autumn and the inner eyes managed to even break the 0.7 mark, and the lament of autumn already did it eight times 🤭 - so, the lament of autumn according to kuyun data up to november 2nd: 16 consecutive days at no. 1, a highest real-time peak of 0.7529% (second-highest of 2026), and a highest daily average of 0.6597% (highest of 2026) 🥳 ** for context: cvb (china audiovisual big data) is china’s official television audience measurement system, administered under the national radio and television administration. it is the authoritative source for official tv ratings, while kuyun (the one i post about every day) is a separate ratings measurement platform. this is why the drama’s cvb and kuyun achievements are celebrated separately! ** it’s 15 days at number one for cvb and 16 days at number one for kuyun because cvb updates are slower. while kuyun has already updated through november 2nd, cvb has only updated through november 1st. congratulations on the 2026 cvb crown dongdongxixi 😭😭 *images 1 and 2 are kuyun’s november 2nd data update. * image 3 is cvb latest update showing the 0.404% viewership average, the highest for 2026. * image 4 is the previous cvb top10 of the year before the lament of autumn premiered, with number one having an 0.397% viewership average. ☺️
