After working restlessly with our amazing team, I'm so happy to be able to finally announce this.
You won't believe the capabilities we've unlocked with NFTs.
We have built a way for every coffee shop, bank, youtuber, musician, and more, to use NFTs seamlessly.
No wallet needed, no crypto needed. On ETH.
It's not the standard buzzwords. No fractionalization, no lending.... your mom, my mom, they cannot do that.
@LucaNetz @ASvanevik @CryptoGarga you'd be proud of what we've accomplished.

📣Official statement: the new EU chat controls proposal for mass scanning is the same old surveillance with new branding.
Whether you call it a backdoor, a front door, or “upload moderation” it undermines encryption & creates significant vulnerabilities

🚨This looks bad... and it is. The NFT market is dead.
before you retweet "NFT CEO says NFTs are dead" 🚨
Read my article (coming soon) where I explain in nuance why NFTs are dead, and how we plan on reviving them
In a day or so, I'm going to release an article exposing what I think is a critical issue with the current NFT ecosystem.
Some numbers
📉May 24, only 12.5M USD was earned across every EVM NFT marketplace. Roughly 133k in revenue across 15+ businesses. Tech costs and salaries are 5x higher than that revenue figure.
📉May 24, there were (over estimated) 40k unique NFT users on the planet. Yes... 40,000 people. 80k wallets, but most people have multiple wallets.
📉 Volume is on track to be roughly 3B USD this year, with ~1.5B from the USA. FIT21 will affect all NFT marketplaces in America, and ones like Mintable either will be required KYC for Americans, or ban Americans.
How we plan on taking the global 40k MAU (probably 5k) NFT users on Earth, and turning that into 1 million MAU within 12 months, and 50M in 2 years?
Read my article, or 🩷follow🩷 me so when you forgot about this tweet you'll see it in a day or two.

At 37signals, three is a magic number.
Nearly all new product work is done by teams of three people. A team of three is usually composed of two programmers and one designer. And if it’s not three, it’s two or one — not four or five. We don’t throw more people at problems, we chisel problems down until they can be tackled by three people, at most.
We rarely have meetings, but when we do, you’ll hardly ever find more than three people on a call. Any conversation with more than three people is typically a conversation with too many people.
What if there are five departments involved in a project or a decision? There aren’t. Too many dependencies. We don’t work on projects like that — intentionally.
What is it with three? Three is a wedge, and that’s why it works. Three has a sharp point. It’s an odd number so there are no ties. It’s powerful enough to make a dent, but also weak enough to not break what isn’t broken. Big teams make things worse all the time by applying too much force to things that only need to be lightly finessed.
The problem with four is that you almost always need to add a fifth to manage. The problem with five is that it’s two too many. And six, seven, or eight on a team will inevitably make simple things more complicated than they need to be.
Just like work expands to fill the time available, work expands to fill the team available. Small, short projects become bigger, longer projects simply because all those people need something to do.
You can do big things with small teams, but it’s a whole hell of a lot harder to do small things with big teams. That’s a disadvantage of big teams! Small things are often all that’s necessary. The occasional big thing is great, but most improvements come as small incremental steps. Big teams can step right over those small moves.
Three keeps you honest. It tempers your ambition in all the right ways. It requires you to make tradeoffs, rather than keep adding things in. And most importantly, three reduces miscommunication and improves coordination. Three people can talk directly with one another without introducing hearsay. And it’s a heck of a lot easier to coordinate three people’s schedules than four or more.
Three is all-in for us.
Food for thought
The most concerning part about this is that most Europeans don't realize how stagnant Europe has now become
Europeans are literally blue-pilled and are mostly concerned with climate change, immigration and the Ukraine war
Nobody in Europe is thinking why increasingly everything they use is made in China running on American software
The knee jerk reaction is to proudly pass regulation against American tech
The chad reaction would be to reduce regulation so that European entrepreneurs would actually stay in Europe to build European startups increasing Europe's GDP and making Europeans richer!
I am European and I have regular conversations about this with people here, it's just not on top of mind AT ALL! While it should be because Europe's GDP is stagnant and the real innovation now happens in US and China and elsewhere, not in Europe
People in Europe do love to complain about rising cost of living and the increasing unaffordability of living, but they don't realize why. They point at foreigners/immigrants as the problem, which can't be the whole story
Other Europeans I talk to get visibly upset if I ask them about stagnant GDP numbers: "why should everything be about money?" they say in a thick German accent
The whole story is that Europe has made it very difficult for people to start a business, raise capital, innovate and get the reward for taking that risk, so why would anybody?
And for the Europeans that do, it's way easier to open a US Delaware company, raise capital in US, sell your stock or IPO in the US, because why even do that in EU, where it's too hard? The proof is in the pudding, if it was so easy in EU then why is startup funding in US $270B AUM with 330 million people vs $44B AUM with 746 million people? That's almost 14x bigger startup funding market per capita
Why doesn't EU have ANY trillion dollar companies? While US has six? Why isn't there any European company in the top 10 of largest companies? While 80% is American?
Why is Stripe, a company founded by two Irish brothers, an American company and not a European one? It could have been
Very few Europeans will agree with this post because they can't see it, if they would've seen it, we wouldn't be here in the first place!
What's the role left for Europe in the future?
Signed,
- A techno-optimist European who'd love to see Europe become wealthy again

Incredibly cool and, apparently, privacy respecting (though I hope they will share more details about encryption and other security measures). I just pre-ordered one.

It was great to speak about NFTs for the @Independent
We see the future of NFTs as being about utility and real life usage (where access, uses, and identification is concerned)
NFTs as were known are dead; now is the future of NFTs - long live the NFT!
