Is this a safe space to say that Jim Parsons is an underrated genius and literally carries that show and I don’t really understand a lot of people’s endless complaints about Sheldon, the best character, as a result.
One of the most interesting discourses in television history had to have been Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory. People would be like “This is horrible representation of autistic people.” And the writers would be like “He doesn’t have autism.” And people would respond “You’re lying, he is crystal clear representation of autistic people.”
Yup, modern audiences are very literalist and this is affecting how art is produced as well. You can trace the evolution of fictional conceptions of teenagers by studying each iteration of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for example.
I don’t think modern iterations highlighting their youth and childishness is bad, it’s just reflective of the times. Same with how modern April is usually a child now, so there’s no age gap type talk.
This post opened my third eye and I finally understood that stupid little “malfoid” trend. Instantaneous flash of knowledge.

Hello everyone, I’ve just returned from the vet and am heartbroken to share that my beloved dog passed away from cancer. If you’re able to lend a paw, every bit of help means the world and will go toward his care costs. Thank you for your support 🥹

I’ve come to appreciate audiobooks, but there’s still aspects you miss from not reading it on the page. “Ahn-ki-sett” was actually “anguisette” all along, which makes way more sense with anguish as the root word, for example.
I don’t care if you hate Hellaverse, or Stolas, or whatever, but this is the exact rhetoric that keeps male victims of female abuse ashamed and silent because they “should” be able to fight back and they “should” just be able to leave. This is victim blaming.

I do believe Stella hitting Stolas is wrong but I kinda think it's Stolas 's way to let her vent her frustration. Cuz he's much more powerful than her, could easily fight back, could easily divorce her and claim she just isn't a good wife, but he doesn't and I wish the show wou—
The thing is, even with male-on-female abuse, female victims often have opportunities and avenues to leave as well. Most female victims of abuse are not in a literal “you will die if you leave” situation. But that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve our empathy and understanding?
Just nothing but abuse apologia in the name of not liking a cartoon bird. You can’t make this shit up.

Dude he's later into BDSM and impact play so he's canonically fine with being hit in certain settings. Also I didn't say her hitting Stolas was fine, I'm saying it's nuanced and not just a 'shes heartless and evil' thing
I love BLW—it’s awesome, but I don’t judge moms who don’t do it. So like, no mom wars here, but what are you talking about?
I rarely chime in on the Mom Wars, but baby led weaning is totally revolting and unnecessary. I did it myself because I felt pressured, and I hated every second of it.
You DO NOT need to turn your house into a giant garbage pit and/or scrub your kitchen down four times a day to develop your kid’s fine motor skills. Stop and think for one second. This does not pass the sniff test. No current adults were baby-led weaned. The person with the best fine motor skills you know did not acquire them this way. All of the current neurosurgeons were spoon fed as infants just by nature of their generational cohort.
Maybe the fine motor skills used to come later. Who am I to say? I don’t care. They clearly came eventually. STOP THE MADNESS I HATE THIS AGHHH ITS SO GROSS.
It is a silly excuse, which is why I think fujoshi need to stop offering excuses and reasoning as to why they like BL. There’s no need to capitulate to people who aren’t truly interested in understanding their fellow fans, but instead only seek to tear your excuses apart.
There is no group of people who “should” like BL and there’s no group who “shouldn’t.” BL is for people who like BL.
