Hace 51 años comenzaba la Operación Carlota, donde más de 300.000 cubanos lucharon para poner fin al apartheid de Sudáfrica, se defendió la libertad de Angola y se consiguió la independencia de Namibia.
El nombre de la operación rinde tributo a una esclava africana llamada Carlota, quien lideró una rebelión contra esclavistas colonialistas españoles el 5 de noviembre de 1843 en Cuba.
Alrededor de 300.000 soldados cubanos apoyaron la lucha anti-imperialista del Movimiento Popular de Liberación de Angola contra las fuerzas imperialistas del apartheid sudafricano y de EEUU, fue una humillación al imperio yanki que jamás olvidará.
También otros 50.000 cubanos entre médicos, maestros, ingenieros y científicos, sirvieron en la lucha del pueblo de Angola durante los 16 años que duró la misión internacionalista.
Además de defender Angola de la agresión imperialista, Cuba con esta operación militar debilitó y puso fin al apartheid sudafricano, infligiéndole más de 6.000 bajas en la contienda, haciendo que cayese poco después.
Sin duda, este fue uno de los actos más heroicos de internacionalismo de la historia, Cuba liberó al mundo del apartheid y ni siquiera se lo agradecieron, la bloquean desde hace 60 años.

The US is ruled by two parties that both serve capital. Yesterday, people voted, yet today Americans are still ruled by the same system that puts profits over people.
Democracy under capitalism is an illusion. Elections do not transfer power to the people or result in major policy changes. They simply protect, preserve, and fortify the power of capital.
China is governed by one party, but that one party actually serves the people making China more democratic than the US dictatorship of capital will ever be.
It is better to be governed by one party that actually serves the people than to be ruled by two parties that both serve the rich.

But don’t be fooled into thinking the Democrats will save us from the Republicans. Both parties belong to the same donors, corporations, lobbies, and oligarchs. They do not represent you. Regardless of the outcome of the midterms, you lose, and the corporations, bankers, billionaires, Israel regime lobbyists, merchants of war, and tech lords win. Trump, Thune, Johnson, Clinton, Schumer, and Jeffries - and US media corporations- are all paid servants of the same dark forces. As long as this system is in place, the downward spiral will continue. And no election will change this.

During the August 2023 Elections in Zimbabwe, there was a lot of noise from the opposition & some captured observers because FAZ had a table placed a significant distance away from the polling station.
I shot this video outside a polling station in Johannesburg, South Africa… Folks from Zimbabwe need to see how political parties are allowed to have their branded stuff outside the polling station… It can be done with civility, and it’s part of democracy….
SADC Observers who said it was against SADC Election guidelines were clearly misleading the people…
