DENPAC leadership met virtually last weekend for our annual officer training and marketing meeting! They are inspired and energized about strengthening DENPAC to preserve the future of organized dentistry and advocate effectively for oral health care!

TDA’s legislative council (CLRA) ensures we have an effective voice in the legislative process. CLRA works with TDA’s legislative team & consultants to implement TDA’s legislative agenda. CLRA strives to maintain positive working relationships w/legislators & state officials.

In 2025, TDA supported the charge to enhance patient safety with HB4070 requiring an in-person exam by a TX licensed dentist before an orthodontic appliance is sold/prescribed. We’re grateful to @VoteAnnJohnson & @DonnaCampbellTX who championed this important consumer safety law!

SB 3 will provide tax relief to many small business owners in the state. This legislation, from the Second Special Session, was signed into law by Governor Abbott on July 22nd. The bill raises the current franchise tax exemption from $1 million to nearly $2.5 million. #txlege

After the first called special session expired yesterday, Governor Abbott called the Second Special Session to focus solely on property tax relief. A special session can last no more than 30 days, but the Governor can call an unlimited number of special sessions. #txlege @theTDA
