I read this and my ❤️ sings… tier 1 isn’t a program or resource. It’s a practice to live by and keep trying. How do we lift the students in front of us every day… by excepting them for exactly who they are and teaching them from where they are, perfectly as them ❤️❤️❤️

There’s too much of an allegiance to whole class novel teaching. Kids need more time at school to read. More access to books they want to read. And more social experiences connected to reading such as books clubs where they have choice and can read at their own pace.
I just had to say goodbye to the love of my life💔💔💔 Nelly Louise you brought so much love and kindness to our lives. You bravely fought cancer for 2 years. I can’t imagine what life with be like without but I’m so grateful I got to know life with you. Sweet dreams my love ❤️

I give thanks and praise for Brittney Griner’s release from a Russian prison. I am also saddened that a Black woman with a vape pen was detained for 9 months and only released when traded for an arms criminal. The world needs to do better by Black women. #complexity
