Bitcoin and Gold are the ultimate hedge against politicians.
Government would be wise to accumulate them both as a strategic asset also.
A picture of the British economy ahead of the Budget:
The Joseph Rowntree Foundation predicts that average annual household incomes, after housing costs and adjusted for inflation, will be £440-£770 lower by 2030 than when Labour took office - potentially the biggest decline in living standards over a parliamentary term since records began in 1961.
Meanwhile, the IMF forecasts that government revenue as a percentage of GDP will rise faster in Britain than in any other major advanced economy, reaching 41.9% by 2031.
Almost two-thirds of Institute of Directors members say that they are pessimistic about the economy, while 73% expect investment to remain unchanged or fall over the next 12 months.
ScottishPower has warned that unpaid energy bills could reach £7 billion next year, while EDF forecasts that annual bills for a typical household could rise from £1,723 today to £2,204 next April.
People who moved homes in July spent 14.4% of their income on mortgage interest, the highest level since 2008 and almost double what they paid four years ago.
A combination of neoliberal economics and neoconservative foreign policy is putting the British economy under enormous strain, and that is before we encounter another major economic shock.
We at Restore Britain have set out our economic philosophy in considerable detail. This is how we intend to chart a new course and steer Britain away from the looming iceberg.
At the beginning of The Technological Republic, authored by Alex Karp and Nicholas Zamiska of $PLTR, they use this fantastic quote from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in his Faust, Part One.
It encapsulates the battle for the soul of the West, too often do we speak about how the West can progress, how the West can reverse its decline, and how the West can reestablish itself. What this quote strikes so perfectly, though, is the retrospection the West needs to do upon itself.
We need to ask ourselves questions: What are we fighting for? Who are we fighting for? These questions are key to developing a deep internal belief in our history and our future excellence to come.
We must also introspect and ask ourselves why: Why have we accepted decline for the last 30 years? Why have our politicians self-inflicted pain on their citizens? Why have we become ashamed of our history and our culture and sold out our nations to foreign lands?
This must also be an issue we tackle deeply going forward if we are to revitalize Western civilization.
Fantastic change of focus here and a great post.
There is a space for a party who are pro-AI and pro-sovereignty. We must accelerate development but within our national interest.
AI could transform Britain back into a real powerhouse. Collaboration with the private sector is key.
But first we need to gut the State - the socialists are anti-progress and anti-success. Look at how people like Sadiq Khan have opposed the life-saving work of Palantir inside the NHS, purely due to their strange collective third-world ethnic interest in some foreign war.
Liberalism isn't made for these times. The world is once again moving towards the nation-state and I say good. That's the natural state of being for the world but Britain is five years behind the trend. It hasn't realised that the liberal internationalist hegemony of the post-war consensus is rapidly disappearing. We're still talking about how we can move closer to the EU, which itself is a failed institution and will collapse in due course.
AI is not only a tool for productivity, a tool for innovation, but also a tool of defence. Data centers are key strategic infrastructure, but our liberal TikTok government won't take it seriously because they're scared of looking like mean climate change causes.
The political conversation in Britain is 10 years behind the rest of the world. We're inflicting the highest energy cost in the world on ourselves. Most of our politicians won't even acknowledge our own identity. And then Ed Miliband himself is deliberately blocking AI investment in the country because of some fucking 2016 climate change fantasy. The world has changed and is changing and we're not going back to this cuckold liberal politics of the 2010s.
Fuck the Doomerism. Embrace Dominance.
America has added an estimated 10GW of AI data-centre capacity over the past two years.
Meanwhile, the sorry state of Britain's national grid means that our flagship 50MW project has faced so many delays that Microsoft has pulled out. Nscale is one of two major British neoclouds, but both are choosing to IPO in America. Every month that passes, we fall further behind.
This technology is going to determine the winners and losers of the 21st century. It looks like Britain's elites have chosen their side.
I know I’m late to this but this is exhibit no.917276336 of the UK State literally causing national self-harm.
BUILD SOME FUCKING INFRASTRUCTURE AND BURN NET ZERO LEGISLATION
The advancements in drone warfare accelerated by the War in Ukraine are quite incredible and terrifying at the same time.

I don’t really want to comment on this but it is necessary as I’ve just come back.
One of the main reasons I moved away from the FinTwit community was slop like this. Don’t trust these accounts - they’re unashamedly luring retail investors into their scam sponsored apps.
Why follow these accounts? They offer no advice and only these engagement bait posts.
DYOR and learn principles. Think and question everything.

Leftists are unable to understand the metaphysical significance of a building and therefore a place.
Everywhere is just barren land to them.
