What a wrap!
We started conceptualising #AlgoX24 (algoxconvention.com) after a visit to GIFT City towards May-June 2024. GIFT is India's first fully operational smart city, and what better venue to host an Algorithmic trading conference where we believe being smart is actually to automate trading rules
There were ~200 people and many viewers joined us on Live Stream from different parts of India and the world.
The attendees and crew was spread across 3 hotel venues (as last minute resulted in hotels being sold out !) and we there were 35+ distinguished speakers and panelists from across India and International (via online streaming).
11 participating sponsors were the financial backbone and 8 partners helped in execution, digital media marketing, operations and logistics. One event agency took care of production and the venue arrangements were at the GIFT City Club (member of Radisson Individuals)
Over cups of chai and sutta, hundreds of interactions and mini networks got built. A product launch between a sponsor and partner was also witnessed.
As the Algo Trading space is just getting mainstream, we could sense the buzz and excitement amongst all attendees.
A mighty thanks to the all the folks and organizations who made this possible. And as we learn from nuances and how to do things better, we will be back with #AlgoX25 :)

One of the hardest things in trading is accepting a loss.
When a position goes against us, averaging down by buying more quantity can feel like the easiest way to recover.
But if the stock keeps falling, you're increasing your exposure and potentially making the loss much bigger.
I've learnt this the hard way. Sometimes, one such decision can do serious damage to your trading capital.

After a long hiatus, there has been a Trading conference that brought together some of the best Brains in Markets and elevated the entire Ecosystem altogether.
#AlgoX24 may well mark an inflection point with unparalleled levels of intelligence and knowledge sharing.
I gained several new insights that have broadened my perspective and opened my mind to new dimensions of thinking.
Meeting my good ol’ friends is always a pleasure and this time I’ve made many new amazing friends as well.
The hospitality from both @technovestor and @Tinagadodia, along with the flawless conduct of the convention was Top Notch.
