Deeply grateful and surprised to receive the Aldine Impact Award this morning! The responsibility of this work, particularly its impact on others through district optimization, is something I take very seriously. It's an honor. Thank you for the recognition.! #AldineImpact
🎉 Shoutout to @OOT_AldineISD Justin Fineis for winning the Aldine Impact Award at today’s ILT Meeting! Your hard work and dedication are driving positive change across the district by developing leaders for tomorrow. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition! #AldineImpact
Wow! Who better to dissect the concept of risk than @jimkchin. Super grateful for his incredibly powerful keynote at the #PMIGlobalSummit. In jiu jitsu we always talk about being comfortable in uncomfortable situations. He took this saying to a whole other level…literally!
Sharpening my tools with project leaders from around the world at the #PMIGlobalSummit. Very cool to make some new Korean friends and learn about the South Korean chapter. 한국이 그리워요😢
Today a student asked me it was my first day too. I told her it was my 23rd year! Had a great first day of school helping out at Ogden and Thomson Elementary today!

I wholeheartedly believe jiu jitsu in public schools would make a huge impact. Unfortunately it’s an abstract concept for many and the decision makers still make karate hands when trying to explain it. I encourage everyone to read more coachortiz.com/jiu-jitsu-in-…
I’m not trying to get into every school I’m simply looking for one opportunity to prove the concept. Let’s track attendance, grades, and behavioral data to determine whether this can be a truly effective intervention program.
Thank you for the continued support! @jockowillink

This weekend, I received my black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu alongside my son, who was promoted to the adult belts. It's a blessing to be able to go on this jiu-jitsu journey with him over the past 12 years, and am excited about what's to come in the future🥋 #BJJ #blackbelt

Such a timely interview as teachers are now getting to meet their new students. I love the part around the 7 min mark that talks about how our differences are our superpowers…and helping students recognize that in themselves.. Thanks for sharing your story @derrickshore!
Had the opportunity to chat with @houstonlifetv ‘s own @derrickshore this summer. His humble journey from awkward teen to the official voice of Houston, TX is truly inspiring. Catch the full podcast with the link below ⬇️

The answer is 2 part!
1. The young people I’m targeting most likely couldn’t afford typical gym fees.
2. School sports feeds the outside club/travel team machine. @jockowillink @ufcbjj @danawhite
