Miguel Rojas names Kiké Hernández, Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts and Max Muncy as his closest friends on the Dodgers: “We’re called the viejitos because they started calling us the dinosaurs, old players, old guys. They didn’t know if we could still do it. In some form, we showed the world that we were able to do it.” Via @mlbnetwork

The Dodgers ruining baseball talk is funny looking back. The brewers are putting up a boring WS run, low ratings and then will be all in for a lockout in the offseason. That’s what ruining baseball looks like

Vin Scully did not actually throw the ceremonial first pitch before Game 2 of the 2017 World Series. He addressed the Dodger Stadium crowd, then handed the ball to Fernando Valenzuela, who threw it to Steve Yeager. That's an important correction because the moment is already perfect without changing who made the throw. Scully, Fernando and Yeager gave the ceremony plenty of Dodgers history on its own.

This is terrible for Rob Manfred and the owners. They've spent months trying to convince fans that the sport is broken. That small-market teams can't compete. That the Dodgers are ruining baseball. Can't sway public opinion now. There will be no cap and we'll get a season. Even if there's an ugly, and long lockout.

The World Series matchup is set! Either the Brewers or Rays will win their first championship 🏆

Josue De Paula with another incredible plate appearance in the postseason. The 21-year-old came in as a pinch hitter representing the potential final out. He drew a five-pitch walk and turned over the Dodgers lineup in the ninth inning.

Check out the Yankees bunt defense compared to the Dodgers. Jazz Chisholm and Kiké Hernandez start in the exact same spot. Yet when Kiké spots the bunt, he sprints to first to get the out while Jazz just wanders around aimlessly and the runner reaches. Losing on the margins.

The Padres fired Bud Black in June 2015. Bench Coach Dave Roberts was interim manager for 1 game. Triple-A manager Pat Murphy was promoted over Roberts & finished the season as skipper. Roberts & Murphy face each other tomorrow in NLCS Game 1. SDP has had 6 managers since.

Everyone complains that Yamamoto never gets any run support. Had he started the Dodgers could have still lost and would have put the series in the hands of Blake Snell and Tyler Glasnow. Not bad options, but postseason, road warrior Yamamoto is on another level. I'll take it.

Hot take: Yamamoto should’ve started today. I understand what Blake Snell has done the second half of the season and how the Braves are weaker against LHP. I think you should’ve handed the ball to your WS MVP.

Max Muncy says the Dodgers possibly three-peating is not something they're focused on. It's more about preparing for the playoffs. "We don't need to be adding any extra pressure on ourselves," Muncy added. "Winning the World Series is already hard enough as it is."
