CLAYFACE was a pleasant surprise and a solid villain origin story. The body horror was perfectly gross at times. Never thought we'd get a solo Clayface movie, but it actually works. Pacing isn't perfect, some characters are meh, but I had a good time with it.
RESIDENT EVIL was an entertaining adaptation of the game. BUT at times the main character’s incompetence done for suspense and comedic effect feels like you’re watching Forrest Gump survive Raccoon City. Hopefully a sequel introduces iconic characters from the games. 7/10 🍿
DOG STARS is mildly entertaining and watchable enough, but it’s the kind of post-apocalyptic flick you’ll instantly forget. Despite being one of my favorite genres, it makes a series of underwhelming choices and has absolutely nothing new to say. Ridley Scott is on cruise control
Netflix’s THE WHISPER MAN bastardizes the novel. Because it’s made for Netflix viewers with short attention spans, it tells you who the killer is within the first act, then pretends like there’s still a mystery. It felt like a B-movie with an expensive cast that had nothing to do
INSIDIOUS: OUT OF THE FURTHER shows the franchise is out of ideas. It’s more bore than horror. There are a few entertaining gross dental hygiene scenes, but the rest is instantly forgettable. Stream it one day for free if you’re desperate for a horror film… or don’t.
#Lanterns had some surprisingly gritty moments, and Kyle Chandler was great… but overall it feels like a watered down B-version of True Detective with Green Lanterns. Biggest flaw: I just don’t care about the mystery driving the plot, the setting, or the bland side characters.
Thanks @AmazonMGMStudio Project Hail Mary 4K Blu-ray. Watched the movie again last night, looks AMAZE on 4K! @projecthailmary
No matter what, at least they cast someone with enough screen presence and charisma to steal a scene
I watched the new DOOMSDAY trailer, and at this point the MCU feels like season 5 of The Walking Dead: same shit, different day, while the stakes progressively try to matter more, but don't.
It looks fine. I hope it’s good. I’m just tired of the same formulaic multiverse slop...
THE END OF OAK STREET was Twilight Zone meets Jurassic Park set in the ’80s. It’s an enjoyable popcorn movie that lasts under 2 hours and doesn’t overstay its welcome. Perfect rainy-day movie, and a better dinosaur movie than the last few Jurassic Worlds....
Anyone else who started on social media before it was considered “normal” or an actual “career” feel inundated with recycled memes and stuff that was relevant 10+ years ago coming back around? It sort of feels like the story ended and now the internet is just on reruns.
Need more of this style of camera work in action films, please.

SPIDER-MAN BRAND NEW DAY is at its best when it focuses on Peter Parker picking up the pieces after No Way Home. It teases interesting ideas but never fully commits to them. Easily the best version of Holland’s Spider-Man we’ve seen yet. Not perfect, but really good at times…
DOOMSDAY Trailer has everything you’d expect. Epic action in a formulaic trailer, but what else did you expect this deep into the Avengers movies? The best part is easily the X-Men, and Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom sounds cool. Looks like a fun popcorn comic book movie… 🍿
