Introducing Kino: make videos end-to-end with Claude Code and Codex.
Drop your footage, get highlights, edit together, send links for feedback, and let your agents cook.
AI is becoming a great creative partner. Kino is a new home for your team and agents to collaborate.
Globally competitive economic and financial hub, with ecosystem operators building the infra “fintech” needed to make it happen.
What are our region & states building their economy on? Are you building the tech required to make it happen or building Lagos tailored tech and complaining it’s all happening in Lagos? 👀

A Historic First!!
From @Eth_Enugu ‘25, now in ‘26, the Southeast Blockchain & Games Week #SEBGW2026 marked the first time in Africa that blockchain and gaming were fused into a single, unified experience.
We proved that both are interconnected drivers of technology in Africa!!
In Sept ‘26, we unlocked motion in Africa’s Blockchain & Gaming Landscape⚡️📣🇳🇬
The sheer scale of #SEBGW2026 was huge!!
- 1500+ attendees on finale day
- 1000+ at 16 build stations first 3days
- FREE MTN Routers to all attendees
- 40+ speakers
- 50+ partners
- $3k+ in bounties

If you’re a writer or AI expert interested in transitioning to AI journalism, and specifically focused on developing stories on AI in the Global Majority, I’d be happy to refer you to the Tarbell Fellowship!

Our recent AI training at UNN made it to PUNCH.
I’ve shared quite a bit about the experience already, so I’ll leave the news report here.

And that’s a wrap on the second edition of our AI for Academic Productivity training!
Two remarkable days with the Faculty of Health Sciences and Technology, University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus.
Once again, the turnout was impressive, with enthusiastic participation across disciplines and interest from senior university leadership.
Beyond exploring AI for teaching, research, clinical education and discovering opportunities, some of the most fascinating moments came from the conversations around accuracy, trust and human judgement.
One discussion that stayed with me was how technology is changing whom we trust, sometimes placing more confidence in what a screen tells us than in the person standing before us.
And just when I thought we were wrapping up, the Faculty surprised me with a plaque of appreciation to The Beaconsmith Collective, presented on behalf of the Dean.
I genuinely didn’t see that coming, and it meant a great deal.
Grateful to the Faculty, its leadership, our team and everyone who made these two days memorable.
Beyond teaching people to use AI, we’re helping them discover what’s possible.w

Over the past few months, Anthropic scientists have engaged in deep research partnerships with six organizations developing new medicines. We've also begun drug discovery efforts of our own.
In doing so, we’ve learned much more about how Claude can support the many stages of drug development.
In this blog post, we share some early results from these efforts, and describe how this work fits in with our wider ambitions in the life sciences.

ooops: use transportational mapping and analyze the igbo society and blockchains.
There is a very powerful property in LLMs you can use to solve hard problems - LLMs have a strong ability to draw analogies between different fields that are difficult for humans. I could not draw an analogy between medicine and computer science, but an LLM can. You can use that to pull solutions from one field into another field. There is usually a mapping and combining the two can give you unusual answers that many people cannot see. It's a whole hidden field that will lead to many breakthroughs.
Scientists built tiny(nano) molecules that clump into spear-like groups and punch holes in the outer walls of hard-to-kill germs including many that resist normal antibiotics and antivirals destroying them in a way existing drugs often cannot.
The drug class we are developing, Claromers, kill nearly all known germs (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and biofilms) with one simple devastating mechanism that has avoided microbial resistance for over 200 million years.
Claromers mimic a natural defense peptide in the human body called LL-37. Each Claromer molecule is very small, only dozens of atoms big - about 1/3 the size of the natural peptide. It is like a spear - a destructive end and a holding shaft or tail end. The shaft side is hydrophobic, which means it is water-avoiding and does not like to touch water. The other side - the pathogen destroyer - is highly positively charged (called “cationic” in science literature), like a powerful magnet that pulls toward anything negatively charged (called “anionic” in science).
Stanford bioengineering Assoc Prof Barron and colleagues wrote in a recent study of Claromers: “These amphipathic peptoids self-assembled in different ways, as determined by small-angle X-ray scattering; some adopt helical bundles, while others form core−shell ellipsoidal or worm-like micelles.” That means the groups form either short twisted bundles, like worms, or small oval shapes like a football. 🏈
The self-assembly into these nano structures I. the watery fluids of the body because the water-avoiding shaft-tails point inward toward each other , away from the water. The positive pathogen-killer ends stick outward like sharpened spears. The molecules stick together on their own into tight groups.
These groups attack like a three-dimensional Greek phalanx, a tight formation of soldiers. Like a football made of spears. The spears face out. Because each molecule is so tiny its mass is almost zero. When the positive killer ends feel the pull of the germ’s outer covering they accelerate from standing still to nearly the speed of light with almost no friction, like lightning bolt ⚡️ leaping towards the pathogen. The killer-football formation hits all at once the with huge kinetic energy and blows apart the outer membrane of the pathogen.
The germ cannot survive. It is destroyed in a microsecond.
Barron and colleagues also wrote: “While self-assembly correlated overall with antibacterial efficacy... Certain self-assembled morphologies seem better-suited for antibacterial activity.” The football 🏈 hits harder.
We choose the super effective oval shapes that mass the spears for the strongest hit.
I don’t pay much attention to the games being played by colleagues here because each time one feigns ignorance I’d always ask;
why does it seem like the story differs when it comes to mine?
