Every word of this. I just don’t understand how so many people disagree with anything she has written here.
As another man who once worked with me declares himself saddened by my beliefs on gender and sex, I thought it might be useful to compile a list for handy reference. Which of the following do you imagine makes actors and directors who aren’t involved with the HBO reboot of Harry Potter so miserable?
Is it my belief that women and girls should have their own public changing rooms and bathrooms?
That women should retain female-only rape crisis centres?
That men don’t belong in women’s sport?
That female prisoners shouldn’t be incarcerated with violent men and male sex offenders?
That women should remain a protected class in law, because they have sex-specific needs and issues?
That language should reflect reality rather than ideological jargon, especially in a medical context?
That women shouldn’t be harassed, persecuted or fired for refusing to pretend humans can change sex?
That women should not be threatened with violence and rape when they assert their rights?
That freedom of speech and belief are essential to a pluralistic democratic society?
That troubled minors, especially those who are gay, autistic and trauma-experienced, should be given mental health support instead of irreversible surgeries and drug treatments on non-existent evidence of benefit?
That gay people shouldn’t be pressured to include the opposite sex in their dating pools, nor should they be smeared as ‘genital fetishists’ when they don’t?
That cross-dressing heterosexual male fetishists aren’t actually oppressed, but having the time of their lives piggybacking off gender identity ideology?
That said ideology, and the privileged, blinkered fools pushing it because they suffer zero consequences themselves, have done more damage to the political left’s credibility than Trump and Farage could have achieved in a century?
Let me have your thoughts.
Men flaunting themselves in the women’s bathroom gives me such a disgusted feeling. It’s just so like them to lord their power and disregard as if they’re untouchable. #WomensSafety
This part. What more could she say to affirm that she isn’t the monster they paint her to be? #jkrowling #womensrights
It really just comes down to this and having to argue such a simple point is so tiring.

I shall rephrase. The problem of male violence has never been effectively addressed. The only thing we can do is put in place certain safeguards to minimise the risk towards women. Dismantling those safeguards is fucking stupid and JK along with most rational people see that.

I wrote a new piece about women’s rights and whether or not I want trans people dead. (Spoiler: I don’t)👇

As soon as I found out the big burly man in the hospital bed next to me was trans I’d relax. That’s the difference. Learning they’re actually a woman removes all threat and worry.
Why is it ok for women to be uncomfortable on wards but not men? Where was the outrage when it was women compromising their dignity and safety to appease men’s feelings? Sex matters. #nhs
There should be a rule that no one on telly is allowed to show their raw feet. Socks are mandatory. #gogglebox

Man encourages other men to enter women’s single-sex bathrooms and changing rooms because, he says, men like him have a right to be there if they want to be, no matter what the law says or how women feel about it.
You can see that poor man stimming with his fingers before the tiger approaches. That park needs shutting down asap. His poor family and poor him how painful it must have been #yorkshirewildlifepark

Zionism is both historic and spiritual; the ancient connection of the Jewish people to the land of Israel and their right to self-determination in their historic homeland.
I am British by birth, belonging and love; Jewish by inheritance, memory and faith. Britain is my country. Israel is not a competing loyalty, it is the homeland of the Jewish people to which I am bound by ancestry, memory and identity.
For millions of Jews, that is the heart of Zionism. Not supremacy, dispossession or the killing of Palestinians and not a colonial claim to a foreign land but the self-determination of a people with an ancient and continuous connection to it. In practice, it must mean two peoples entitled to self-determination both living in security and freedom with neither people’s future purchased with the lives, rights or humanity of the other.
That is why declaring “Zionism is racism” is not merely wrong, it tells most Jews that their understanding of their own history, identity and collective freedom is itself morally suspect. The Greens should ask themselves whom they are trying to please by adopting a slogan that turns Jewish self-determination into a moral stain. If your politics of inclusion requires millions of Jews to renounce a central part of their history and identity before they qualify for your solidarity, it isn’t inclusion. You are telling Jews: you may belong here but only if you disown Israel as the homeland of the Jewish people. That is not anti-racism. It is imposing a political test on Jews that no genuinely progressive movement would dream of imposing on any other minority.

Tell you what. Get your Muslim members to promise they will never attend a mosque that criticises homosexuality. Then we’ll talk.

Stop treating the adult population like children and stop allowing adults who behave like despotic toddlers to decree what the rest of us are allowed to watch.
