Is it a coincidence that when Michael Oliver makes important "mistakes" it is usually either against Arsenal or in favour of Manchester City or in a match that will have a positive impact on Manchester City.
See some examples below;
Young Irish winger Ceadach O’Neill is expected to START for Arsenal vs. Fleetwood Town tonight.

Mikel Arteta on Cristhian Mosquera:
"But when he plays, and when he has played, he's done really well. We have won some big games playing with him, and we need him. And the same with Myles [Lewis-Skelly] in another way. And look at the way he's playing. Or Max today, he came in and he seems to be very comfortable in this kind of position. So we're gonna need everybody, I'm convinced of that."
Arsenal is planning to heavily rotate his squad for the Carabao clash against Fleetwood.
Ceadach O'Neill, who made the bench for the recent Champions League match against Lille, appears likely to make the Carabao Cup squad and is in contention to play some part at Highbury Stadium.
Andre Harriman-Annous took part in full first-team training on Monday ahead of the Carabao Cup fixture and it remains to be seen where he will feature.

Mikel Arteta on his message to the players before facing a team from a lower league:
"Show them the Arsenal shirts and what we represent, and that's it. We have to go there and win the game, nothing more. It's very simple.
Our reputation, our pride, and everything we have is on the line every time we play a football match, especially when we face a team from a different level.
Respect the game, and respect every opponent, because every opponent deserves that. And after that, try to win, and to be better than them."

🗣️| Mikel Arteta on Victor Gyokeres:
"Yes, I think he was unlucky. He had two or three chances in front of goal, and he managed to get the better of my center-back in positioning, but the ball didn't reach him.
But he offered a lot of good things, in my opinion, and we need to keep trying and persisting.
I think he also made a big contribution in Munich. When he came on as a substitute, he helped us change the course of the game, and that's what we need from all the players "

David Raya confirmed that he has not undergone any facial surgery since his nose injury in 2018:
"I can't breathe normally through my nose, and my left nostril is completely blocked. Many people think I've had cosmetic procedures on my face, but I haven't had any surgery up to now."
"I postponed the surgery several times due to my move to Brentford, then the coronavirus pandemic, and the promotion to the Premier League and his international commitments"
"The surgery is necessary to improve breathing and is not cosmetic, and I decided to postpone it until I retire from football"
Arsenal believes Saka will be out for at least 6 weeks, he may even be out until the second half of December or later.
Arsenal are yet to officially specify the duration of the absence or the final diagnosis.

Arsenal is closely following Nicolo Tresoldi…. Arsenal is seriously interested in signing the player.
Arsenal has had Nicolo Tresoldi on their list of interests for some time.
Sources close to the striker have reported that he does not intend to change clubs mid-season.
Therefore, a move during the winter transfer window remains unlikely, while the file may become "more significant" next summer.

Arteta on Why did Eze was laughing before facing Bayern Munich?
"What happened will stay between him and me."
"If I had been angry in my handling of him, I don't think we would have gotten the best out of him."
"When he laughs, he's at ease and able to express himself, and that's how we get the best version of him."
"It's essential to understand the players' feelings and build a human relationship with them, because that makes them feel heard and understood, and it helps them deliver their best."
Arteta on Saka: "He has another MRI today because he had quite a lot of fluid in the area, so it was difficult to understand the injury. We need a few more scans and opinions from specialists… there are not good signs but let’s be patient before a definitive assessment."
🗣️| Arteta: "Rice has taken a step forward in emotional dominance …
"I have noticed a significant development in Declan Rice in controlling his emotions and imposing his presence.
This is something I ask him to do, because I know how powerful his presence and leadership personality are.
It is very important that he sets the required standards, especially when things are not going as we want, and when we are still striving to achieve our goals.
He needs to boost confidence and conviction within the team.
I think he has done that in a truly magnificent way."

- Did Saka have to change his playing style after the injuries he suffered?
🗣️| Arteta: "Not at the moment, and I don't know what will happen in the future.
Some of the injuries were muscular, and others were tendon-related, and that's a different matter, but it's not limited to Bukayo alone; it applies to many other players as well.
We discussed this matter last year, and it's something we need to continue monitoring."
- How do you try to boost his morale?
🗣️| Arteta: "I've already told him to go to the training ground, to be the first one there, and to bring a positive attitude and good energy, because that's what the team needs.
If everyone keeps asking him: 'Bukayo, how are you? Are you sad? Are you okay?', that's exactly what we don't need.
This is the nature of things, and it's part of our job, and we have to deal with it.
We can't change what happened now, but what we can control is the way we handle the situation from now until the Everton match, and to come together with the best spirit and positive energy in order to secure another win."

Arteta: "Zubimendi deserves to get more playing minutes …
"He got some opportunities, then suffered an injury.
It's true there was one match where he became available to come on for a few minutes, but not to start as a regular.
As of now, he has earned the chance to play.
I need to pick the right matches to give him that opportunity, and when I do, I know exactly how he will respond.
He has been exceptional, whatever role he was asked to play, and that's what I expect from every player.
He is a player who deserves more playing minutes right now "
🚨 Mikel Arteta: “Bukayo Saka’s injury doesn’t look good at all”.
“It’s his quad and we wait for the tests”.
🚨 Bacary Sagna: "I broke my fibula against Tottenham, in 2011.
I was playing my best football, but unfortunately, I suffered that bad injury.
One day, right after that happened, I arrived at the training ground, and the receptionist was all flustered. She was looking left and right, all agitated, and whispering to me "Come here, come with me, please."
I was on crutches and everything, I had just arrived, so I was confused, what did she want?
She closed the door, and she handed me a letter.
I open it, and the letter is from REAL MADRID.
I looked at it. It said something like, “Dear Bacary, we are saddened to hear about your injury, and we wish you a speedy recovery,” and all that, signed by Emilio Butragueño.
You have NO IDEA how much that letter meant to me, and how it really moved me. It made me SO happy. It gave me a massive boost when I was feeling down because of the injury.
It motivated me SO MUCH.
I told myself: "Oh my God, that's Real Madrid."
I still have that letter to this day. It’s not going anywhere. That's how special that letter is to me.
I told myself: "Wow, this means Real Madrid know me, they've been monitoring me."
And I have no regrets in my career, I played for Arsenal, and I love Arsenal, but that's Real Madrid.
For them, it’s just a small gesture. But the impact it has on you, and the respect you feel towards them after that, is multiplied by 10 because of it.
It really made me want to come back on the pitch, and I did come back, actually. Then I broke my fibula again, and I came back once more.
It’s a small gesture that perhaps changed my outlook on things and gave me much more confidence."
Paul Merson on Bayern Munich vs Arsenal tonight:
“I just can’t see how they beat Bayern Munich this week. If I was Bayern, I’d just open the game up and just say you have a shot, we have a shot because there’ll only be one winner.
X factor is what wins a Champions League and I don’t see that at Arsenal. I don’t see Havertz or Viktor Gyökeres as the difference-maker.”
Bayern:
• Michael Olise
• Joshua Kimmich
• Jamal Musiala
Arsenal:
• William Saliba
• Piero Hincapié
• Christos Tzolis
