It’s hard to watch this video. A reporter asked Cindy Hyde-Smith a serious question about Nolan Wells' tragic passing, and she chose to run away and call security. At the very least, she could have acknowledged Nolan’s family and offered her condolences for their tremendous loss.
For everyone who knew Nolan and loved him, this is deeply disappointing. No matter your politics, there should always be some basic humanity when talking about someone who lost his life — especially from an elected official. Mississippi deserves better.

I strongly oppose DHS's proposed plan to turn a warehouse in Byhalia, Mississippi, into an ICE detention center. I am all for immigration enforcement, but this site was meant for economic development and job creation. You answered your own question… those student-athletes don’t have to be 4-5 star nor go to a P5. They can now go to Delta State, Alcorn, Mississippi Valley and all of our 15 community colleges in Mississippi!!

Here’s my perspective. If Mississippi College, who has a football program that’s 117 years old and full of tradition, can no longer “afford” to have a football program then Delta State, Alcorn, Mississippi Valley and all of our 15 community colleges in Mississippi cannot afford to have a football program either. Mississippi College has vastly more resources than these schools.
If that’s true, then where does that leave the future of the sport of football? Are we going in a direction where you have to be a power 5, 4-5 star recruit in order to play college football? That would be really sad.
What about all the opportunities that will be lost for kids in the future who don’t get a power 5 scholarship?
For these reasons, I think this day is incredibly sad for people who care about the sport of football and all of the life lessons that are taught through it.

Ok.. a lot of what Trump is saying tonight is crazy. Its 🦇💩 truly. On the other hand, Biden's start was bad (no other way to say it folks). He improved throughout the debate, but this wasn't the Biden allies hoped to see tonight. I think its fair to note the President apparently has a cold, but when it comes to debates...the performance matters just as much as the content.
The question is will the voters think?
