Ronaldo had a great start with Portugal, but he has nobody but himself to blame for how his international career is ending. His ego, entitlement and inability to accept that he is not bigger than the team have robbed him of the grand farewell he deserved. Being a legend doesn’t give you the right to put yourself above everyone else. Portugal should have celebrated his legacy, but his ego got in the way. What a career, what a shameful ending.
