Bad policy, bad character make bad politics: erratic tariffs, impulsive Iran war, blanket pardons, apparent corruption, weaponized justice, ICE brutality, mountainous deficits, hiding Epstein, abandoning allies and coddling enemies. Hoping for a course correction, for the country and for my party.

For those who say it’s time for universal care. I am all for it. It would be nice if we could find a way to reduce the cost of care and make it available to everyone, for anything.
But it will take work to get there. Other countries with Universal Care make “Most Things available to All People”. It’s not perfect.
In our country, we make “Everything available to Most People”.
The question for this country, unlike others, is how we can make the best possible care and therapies, regardless of cost, to everyone ?
Read @AbdulElSayed ‘s book on Medicare for All. He wisely had more questions than answers. Medicare for All ? Global Budgets ? Or something else ?
It’s a difficult path from where we are to “E4E” Healthcare. ?Everything for Everyone)
My hope is that we can put together a Simpson Bowles type, Blue Ribbon Commission. One that includes representatives of all stakeholders. From all different type of patients. Including rare disease parents. Rural and Urban Hospitals. The most expensive hospitals that offer unique care. Pharma companies that offer everything from genetics to Cell and Gene Therapies. You get the point
Some people think we can just tell all those working in the healthcare system what to do.
That’s the fastest way for this to fail. We need to be as close as we can to being on the same page. And we need to figure out a non partisan manner of running our American version of Universal Care.
No reason we can’t start now

People are angry because they pay $28,000 a year for something they can't price, can't compare and can't understand. Then the pharmacy charges them less if they pay cash than it does if they use the insurance they paid $28,000 for. Broken is an understatement.

Vivek Ramaswamy's mother had no clinical trial experience. Weeks after joining his company, she reanalyzed a failed Alzheimer's drug study using methods researchers call biased — and helped trigger a $315 million IPO. The drug failed. The stock crashed 70% in a day. Ramaswamy walked away with $260 million; a teachers' pension fund watched its stake collapse from $1.2 million to $68,000.

X allowed Nick Sortor’s demonstrably false allegations against James Talarico to reach millions, yet suspended an account exposing the deception.
That’s not just a censorship concern. It raises serious questions about selective enforcement.
State attorneys general should investigate.

I don’t think you have a dog in this fight but if you did you would have shot it.
I’ll take @ellalangleymsic over Kacey Musgraves any day.
And if I’m choosin’ Texas, I’ll take Ken Paxton over James Talarico.

Both creators and amplifiers face potential exposure. Callers risk federal penalties for obtaining health info under false pretenses (up to 5 years/$100k if proven). False claims of mental treatment can support defamation per se against a public figure if actual malice is shown. Amplifiers may incur republication liability, though pure shares sometimes gain Section 230 protection. Deletions limit further spread but do not erase prior posts. No lawsuits reported so far.

I’m looking for the update, I’m guessing you just haven’t gotten around to deleting this one too.
Yes, knowing HIPAA violations can lead to jail: up to 1 year for basic offenses, 5 years under false pretenses, or 10 years for personal gain/malicious harm (42 USC 1320d-6).
No, I cannot jail anyone—including journalists asking questions. That's not a crime or my role.

"There's no tit for tat."
"We had disagreements on the business model."
