Why choose the racist tweet to point this out though? You just look contrarian and anti-Black. The Harriet Tubman tweet was ages ago but no less horrible and pointing that out doesn't dismiss the awful recent things she's said such as her rape apologia.
I forgot how quick you guys are to find saviour in any and all forms of white mediocrity especially when it's within a bigot.
I want to give the 1995 adaptation another chance now that I'm engaging with the book with a more positive reading mindset.
I hate when people ask about dumb or unhealthy reading habits on booktwt and then act surprised when people ask if it's to rationalise said dumb habits. "Do you guys skip chapters in books?" "No because you're not reading." "Yeah, me neither." Just pick up your book and go.
