If this is the way Bazball ends - and I think I hope it is - it goes out with typical style: awful tactical decisions, putting the interests of the few over to the detriment of teammates, and trying to please a baying crowd but missing the best opportunity to win. #engvnz

This is why I wrote a new article in @PLOSBiology journals.plos.org/plosbiolog…
It’s a bit out of the box, but bottom line you still have options, all is not lost…
The scale of funding cuts in the United States means that countless scientists will lose their jobs. It would be naive not to start thinking about alternative career paths

Interested people who took this episode at face value. For me it was a brilliant play on Reece hating the show, & making TV generally, whilst Steve, who lives surrounded by show memorabilia, can't bring himself to realize it's over, or that Reece never even liked him #InsideNo9
No way is the supposed behind the scenes making of Inside No. 9 documentary going to be what it claims. I'm really hoping for one more incredible episode of this top tier series. Maybe I should have looked at the Guardian crossword yesterday... #InsideNo9

🚨 BREAKING: GAIE RECALLED TO PRISON FOR CHRISTMAS
Gaie Delap, a 77 year old retired teacher, has been arrested and taken to a prison in Bristol after being told her wrists were too small for an electronic tag.
She had been released from prison to serve the remainder of her sentence on tag, but the company claimed they did not have one that would fit her.
Gaie was initially imprisoned for breaking a law that was drafted by an oil company funded think tank - The Policy Exchange.
She took action in 2022 to demand an end to new oil and gas licences. This is now government policy.

Today is the Inglorious 12th. Don’t let the shooting brigade tell you otherwise.
Nothing about this damnable industry will ever be glorious, the blasting of innocent birds out of the sky, the persecution of mammals, the destruction of the landscape, the list goes on.

For years, asylum seekers cost the UK around £450 million to £600 million a year.
And then the Tories deliberately stopped processing most asylum applications.
What happened next?
The backlog of people waiting for a ruling increased. A lot. And costs soared to the Moon.
