Little to no sustained investment in FL, LA, MS, SC, and much of the South. That MUST change. We can’t keep calling Black voters the backbone of the Democratic Party while failing to invest in the states where so many live. Listen to the folks on the ground. Invest in them. Give them the resources to build and compete. You can’t win everywhere if you refuse to invest everywhere.
Final spending figures from Senate Majority PAC (D) and its affiliates: Iowa: $67 million Ohio: $150 million Maine: $65 million Michigan: $67 million Texas: $40 million Kansas: $14 million South Carolina: $750,000 Mississippi: $2.2 million

Now that he can’t ruin my life and other Floridians on the reg, he sounds like a normal politician who can objectively look at the catastrophic results of MAGA policies. These are the worst kind of people. They know what they’re doing is wrong, they just crave more money/power.
Ron DeSantis explains why the GOP "screaming socialism" doesn't work anymore: "Young people have a very positive view of socialism compared to capitalism. The question is, why is that? Some of it is the education in our universities. But I think a big part of that is, what they're comparing is not free enterprise versus socialism. What they're comparing is how government gets involved in business, and you have crony capitalism. The best kind of indirect supporters of socialism are some of these corporatist republicans who propagate these crony policies. The average person is seeing that and saying, 'Wait a minute, you're trying to bend the government to funnel benefits to this corporation or that industry. What about having a competitive market? ... Young people really aren't seeing that. They're seeing just a handful of companies that have an outsized influence on our economy and on our society"

Watching Tommy Tuberville fall down the stairs of the airplane he was on made my day especially after the horrible things he said about Joe Biden. Karma.

As Ron DeSantis runs around blaming MAGA for everything, just remember that he's original MAGA.

"I've been telling you for over a year Schumer & Jeffries need to step down, so it warms my cold heart to see so many calling for it now." @cthagod gives "Controlled Opposition" @SenSchumer & @RepJeffries DONKEYS OF THE DAY, calling them the WASHINGTON GENERALS (!) who won't stand up for workers or stand up to Israel

Darius Acuff Jr. very talkative and animated tonight. The season is so younger it’s scary to think we’ve barely scratched the surface on what this kid will be.

“Why should the Democratic Party base trust you to lead transformational change?” A year ago @RepJeffries was confronted with his refusal to back @ZohranKMamdani + his seven figure contributions from AIPAC. It did not go well for him: instagram.com/reel/DfakI34Mg…

The party that elevates Kyle Rittenhouse, a 17 yr old killer, & tears down Gus Walz, a 17 yr old with special needs who loves his dad, is a party that needs to be lit on fire & thrown in the dumpster & plunged into the deepest depths of the ocean never to be seen again.

Just like clockwork. The corporations that we VOTED to block from buying off politicians are suing to make sure...they can keep buying off politicians.

So did Hurts hide this simplistic scheme for years? Or did you guys just choose to be ignorant and blame it on the QB that whole time? The QB that asked for more complex schemes time and time again.
“[An] offense in college, in the Big 12, has more details than the Philadelphia Eagles offense in the National Football League, that’s a problem.” — Former #Eagles QB Nick Foles

.@PeterSchorschFL blaming @AngieNixon for his own racism is PEAK privilege. No amount of excuses can walk back this very blatant dog whistle. He said the thing, he faced the consequences for the thing and now he’s blaming the Black Woman. …and this is the owner of @Fla_Pol.🙄

Jalen Hurts had the Eagles one Jurgens fumble and failed Sirianni kickoff management away from being 4-1. In the same offense Foles described as less detailed than a big 12 team... The same offense thats getting blown out every week now. #Eagles

At the height of the cocaine boom, the Fed found Florida had a $5.5 billion cash surplus while the rest of the country ran a deficit. The first Miami bank to fall paid 40 cents per $100. Joe Rogan says they got away with it Below, Ben Affleck asks it himself: "is there some statistic about like, you know, the amount of money in the banks..." Rogan's answer: they were "just laundering money." Matt Damon describes "Cessnas underwater" off Bimini, where smugglers would "crash the plane into the water" on purpose and scatter 10 cigarette boats. Banks had to report every cash deposit over $10,000, yet in 1979 all US banks filed about 129,000 reports. In Miami alone, 12 people were each depositing $250 million or more a year, an IRS investigator told PBS. The record is narrower. Great American Bank of Dade County pleaded guilty in 1984, and a loan officer and two tellers were convicted, two years before laundering became a federal crime. By 2016 the rule had teeth. The raid behind The Rip, their new movie, found $22 million in Home Depot buckets in an attic. The owner kept his deposits under $10,000 and got 65 months. Worked out. $500,000 fine minus $125,000 suspended = $375,000 paid $375,000 / $94 million = 40 cents per $100 The case for the banks: in 1979 almost nobody enforced the rule, and a bank that refused the bags would have sent them next door. $94 million through a bank: a $375,000 fine. $22 million in an attic: 65 months. When drug cash runs through a bank, should the bill go to the bank or to the bankers who took the bags?

As a teacher in both Florida and New York I have to agree with DeSantis here. We’re not getting 2x the services, we’re getting 10x up here. Florida public services suck lmao pay your taxes and fund schools
Gov. Ron DeSantis: "My budget's $117 billion. New York State's budget's $268 billion. That's more than twice the budget. Obviously, they have heavy taxes. The question is, are you getting twice the services living in New York?"
