I moved to a small town outside Columbus when I was 1 and left for Alaska at 7. Ohio is where I first fell in love with hockey, watching the Columbus Chill and seeing how much the game meant there. Having the opportunity to sign with the Blue Jackets means a lot. I’m ready to get to work and give everything I have to this organization. Here’s me playing hockey in my room in Lancaster, Ohio.

After the last game of the season, Ovi and Boone did a jersey swap. On his way out, Ovi said “see you next year!” to Boone. They’ll be seeing a lot of each other this year.

Such a nice man. Always asked how past CBJ interns were doing and told me to text him anytime I wanted to go to a Red’s game. Rest in peace, Jesse.

So sad to lose my best friend, Jesse Jackson. He brought a smile to everyone he met and was the best stage manager of all time, working Reds, Bengals, Bearcats, Musketeers, every sport, for more than 50 years. Such a kind, caring and gentle man. RIP my friend.

Once, for some reason, Ryan Murray was sitting next to me in the press box instead of the CBJ player’s box. After a hit caught one of his fellow defensemen in the head, he reactively hit my arm as he scooted his seat back and exclaimed “wtf was that!” 1/2

Happy to share this one: former #CBJ Ryan Murray, the No. 2 overall pick in 2012, hopes to sign a PTO w an #NHL club this summer. He had surgery that, he believes, has found the answer to his chronic back injuries. Last played 13 games w Oilers in '23. Won a Cup w #Avs in '22.

As I had a similar reaction, I turned to him instinctually. I can’t remember what I said, but it was probably just an affirmation of our mutual dissatisfaction. But at that moment, I was enthralled in a moment between two guys just watching their hockey team. 2/?

It was an important moment for a nervous intern. I forgot I was holding my breath sitting next to a hockey player I had admired since my team picked him 2nd overall. He made me feel just like we were two guys watching hockey, because we were. I wish the best for Ryan Murray. 3/3
