PANAMA PAPERS, PANDORA PAPERS: FIVE YEARS LATER, PROBES BEGIN
Five years after the Pandora Papers exposed alleged undeclared offshore interests linked to Nigerian public officials, the Code of Conduct Bureau says investigations involving seven individuals have commenced.
Those assigned to case officers include former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi, former Senate Presidents Bukola Saraki and David Mark, former Aviation Minister Stella Oduah, and three other individuals.
The investigations follow years of questions about the status of cases arising from PREMIUM TIMES’ reporting on the Panama Papers and Pandora Papers.

ENGAGEMENT WITH THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION: DEFENDING DEMOCRACY AND THE RIGHTS OF NIGERIANS
Following my meeting with the British High Commissioner yesterday, 5th November 2026, I met with all Ambassadors of the European Union countries in Abuja on the same day.
Our discussions centred on a number of issues, especially the cost of living and welfare of Nigerians, the state of governance in our country, and the forthcoming elections.
I reiterated my appeal to the international community to support the democratic right of Nigerians to freely and fairly choose their leaders in a peaceful environment. The international community should stand with the Nigerian people in defending this fundamental right.
The very essence of democracy is respect for the right of citizens to freely make their choices and determine who governs them.
I thank the European Union Commission for the invitation and the opïportunity for this important engagement.

PRESS STATEMENT
OBI IS COMING. BRING JOY TO NIGERIANS DESPITE THE FAILURES OF APC
NDC commends Flamingos, ask them to win FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup and bring joy to millions of Nigerians.
THE Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, has commended the female U-17 national football team, the Flamingos, on their qualification for the first-ever FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final by an African team.
Flamingos soared into history by drubbing Samba Queens of Brazil 3-1, in a match that the dreaded South Americans had no chance. It was the Brazilians' first loss in the competition in Morocco.
The NDC National Publicity Secretary, Osa Director, Esq, in a statement praised the young ladies for their resilience that saw them rising from a 2-1 loss to Poland in their opening game at the competition to demolishing opponents.
You did our country proud. Your victories have lifted Nigerians from the hunger, poverty, and sadness that the ruinous policies of the ruling party has imposed on them.
The journey to the final was impressive and deep. The 3-1 defeat of two-time U17 champions, DPR Korea in the group stage, was DPR Korea's first loss in eight years.
Then, the Flamingos dealt with a line up of South Americans - Mexico 2-1 in the Round of 16, Venezuela 1-0 in the quarter-finals then Brazil 3-1.
As they prepare for Saturday's grand finale against Japan, the NDC National Publicity Secretary advised the team to focus on the final and bring the Cup home.
The NDC and Nigerians are fully behind you.
A new Nigeria is POssible with NDC.
Signed:

THANK YOU, ALIMOSHO! LAGOS IS OK!
What we witnessed in Alimosho today was more than a political rally; it was a powerful demonstration of genuine love, unwavering solidarity and the growing determination of Nigerians to reclaim their country. This is what organic support looks like; pure, unfiltered and undiluted!
The morale is soaring, the movement is gathering unprecedented momentum, and Nigerians are increasingly uniting behind a shared vision of a new Nigeria. The message is loud and clear: The people are ready, the movement is unstoppable, and this train cannot be slowed down, derailed or stopped!
Earlier today, His Excellency, Rabiu Kwankwaso, our own HE Funso Doherty, Hon. Dayo Akin-Taylor Ekong, Hon. Ladi Johnson and several other NDC Lagos candidates stormed Alimosho, where they were received with an extraordinary outpouring of love, excitement and solidarity.
The overwhelming reception and the massive show of support on display speak volumes about the growing acceptance of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and the leadership of our principal, His Excellency Peter Obi, alongside His Excellency Rabiu Kwankwaso, and our own Lagos governorship candidate, HE Funso Doherty.
Alimosho has spoken, and the message resonates far beyond its borders. The people are yearning for credible leadership, purposeful governance and a country that works for everyone.
This is not just a political movement; it is a people's movement. A movement driven by hope, powered by the people and destined for transformation.
The energy is real. The love is organic. The momentum is undeniable.
2027 is calling, and Lagos State and Nigeria shall be OK!
NDC! TOP TO BOTTOM!

Celebrating the Flamingos
I warmly congratulate Nigeria’s U-17 women’s football team, the Flamingos, on their remarkable performance at the ongoing FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco. They have demonstrated exceptional talent, resilience and determination throughout the tournament, making our nation proud.
As they prepare to face Japan in the final, I want to assure them that Nigerians everywhere are firmly behind them. I encourage them to remain focused, confident and determined as they take this final step towards glory.
The remarkable achievements of our young women are yet another testament to the immense potential of Nigerian youths. With the right leadership and an enabling environment, our young people can continue to excel and distinguish themselves on the global stage.
Once again, congratulations to the Flamingos. Keep making Nigeria proud. The sky is your limit!
