@EMUAthletics Tim Bond out here making posters #SCtop10 – at Ypsilanti, MI

I had a lot of fun being on the Bobcat Corner podcast to preview this weekends Eastern Michigan/Ohio game. Honored that Steven thought to have me on. Check it out! youtu.be/GeCSCuYeJvA

Former Eastern Michigan Kicker Chad Ryland is the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Four games. 1 should win vs Kent State, 1 push game against CMU, and 2 where EMU won’t be favored against Ohio and WMU. Need to win two of four for a respectable season. Win three or four for a very good season. All goals still on table.

At 4-4 Eastern Michigan Football will need to go 2-2 in their final four games to become bowl eligible.

The Eastern Michigan Women are picked to finish 6th in the MAC this season with Peyton Hill a Second Team Preseason All-MAC selection.

The Eastern Michigan men are picked to finish 8th in the MAC with Mo Habhab a Preseason First Team All-MAC selection.

Pro EMU NFL update Week 6: Chad Ryland was 6 for 6 on field goals, including the game winner and scored all 18 of the Cardinals points in an upset over the Rams. Maxx Crosby had five tackles, 1 for loss, and 2 QB hits as the Raiders lost to the Bills. Andrew Wylie and the Commanders lost to the 49ers.

The Seattle Seahawks have released former Eastern Michigan running back Dontae McMillan from their practice squad.

Ohio has a 16 game home win streak coming into their matchup with Eastern Michigan this week.

Chad Ryland walk off winner! Factory made!

Eastern Michigan mentioned during the NFL on CBS during the Bills/Raiders game. CBS showed the video of Maxx Crosby’s first collegiate sack which came against Josh Allen and Wyoming during the 2016 season.

Recap from the Toledo game: Players of the game: Offensive- TE Joshua Long: A week after having nine catches, Long followed up with 7 catches for 84 yards. One of those receptions and 30 of those yards came on a touchdown reception. Defensive- S Bryce Llewellyn: It wasn’t a banner day for the defense but Llewellyn had ten tackles with half a tackle for a loss. Play of the game: On its first drive Eastern Michigan marched down the field but turned the ball over on downs to Toledo. Toledo answered and scored. On first play of the ensuing EMU drive Noah Kim was hit by Andrew Zoch and fumbled deep in their own territory. UT would score a field goal to go up by two scores and would never look back. The Rockets would ultimately score 17 unanswered points to start the game leaving the outcome never in doubt.

Six sacks (one resulting in a lost fumble) and nine TFL’s for Toledo yesterday. Four turnovers on downs and just 34 yards rushing for EMU. That tells the story.

As disappointing as yesterday’s performance was, Eastern Michigan remains in striking distance in the MAC standings with a game at first place Ohio next week. The performance against Toledo doesn’t scream MAC title contender but if you can beat Ohio you are back in that conversation. Important to flush Toledo result and start a new narrative.

Packed parking lots for homecoming vs the amount of people leaving at halftime yesterday. Playing in front of the greater Eastern Michigan community and couldn’t capitalize. Need strong performances on days like Homecoming to turn the part-time supporters into full fledged fans.

Good night Rynearson. See you November 24th.

Eastern Michigan falls to 4-4 and 3-1 in the MAC. The loss ends a three game win streak.
