I never thought the Fenway Park bleachers would become one of my favourite Scotland away ends of all time, but here we are. The Tartan Army takeover of Boston continues!

Rolled out of bed with a husky voice and a minor hangover to talk to CBC Radio about being at Game 7 of the World Series last night… And what watching baseball means for a newcomer to Toronto: cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-1…

For the first time in three decades, the Blue Jays are in the World Series. CBC Toronto representing before Game 1 🫡

I frequently booked Sir Geoff on radio programmes - he always answered the call with a smile in his voice. What a fascinating life. Always interesting to hear his thoughts on Edinburgh's colonial legacy. And his work on Henry Dundas is also felt here in Toronto.

If the stars had a sound… Celebrated a year to the day since moving from Scotland to Toronto… by watching a band from Scotland in Toronto.

I’m in Cape Town on holiday, and it was an honour to visit Nelson Mandela’s prison cell on Robben Island yesterday. A former political prisoner showed us round, and it felt particularly meaningful to be there on the eve of Human Rights Day in South Africa.

I’m always interested by the intersection of politics and sport, and last night was one of those great sporting moments when everything just came together. An overtime winner against your biggest rivals with… everything else going on in the background. Incredible scenes.
THERE IT IS! THE GAME WINNER! THE TOURNAMENT WINNER! 😱😱😱 CONNOR MCDAVID HAS WON IT FOR CANADA!!! #4Nations

Every now and then in radioland, you write an intro and prey it will survive the overnight editor. Glad to see this gem made it on the CBC's Metro Morning today:

Unfortunately I don't have a sub-editor for my tweets. That would be pray rather than prey!

The Boss in Toronto! 75 years of age, a three-hour, 28-song setlist with all the hits. There’s no joy quite like a Springsteen show.

For the CBC’s Metro Morning, I produced this item about my favourite Toronto sports phenomenon - Loonie Dog Night! Jays fans ate more than 700,000 one dollar hot dogs on Tuesday night games this season. Listen here from the 1 minute mark: cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-3…
