legit how did we just elect a raggedy ass grandma who didn't even do a single debate to prove she's right for the job and is worried about CHINA in TENNESSEE. I hate it here so much

She won by about 50,000 votes out of nearly 2.4 million between all candidates .... that is not a mandate at all and Tennessee needs to hold her accountable! With the new Dem state house seat flips, we may have a chance to mitigate her disasterous plans.
Okay yaβll letβs make lists of undeniably good bills the Dems should start with to dare Trump to veto!
βI donβt want to be just sitting there for two years vetoing everything.β
President Donald Trump picked up a call from @DashaBurns on POLITICO Elections Live and talked to us about the blue wave and how heβs willing to work with incoming congressional Democrats.

This is the incoming chair of the House Oversight Committee. Things are about to get exciting (unless you're Elon Musk or one of Trump's many cronies, in which case things are about to suck for you).

In addition to Gina, I think it is safe to call most of these races for Democrats, including LT Gov. Texas is 100% blue. Just absolutely shocking to those of us who have been in Texas politics for a while. Unfuckingbelievable in the best way imaginable.

Iβm proud of the race we ran. We helped drive turnout and broke the super majority in the state house and senate. 2028 is around the corner. LFG!

This has been the plan all along. Trump wants to bury the story of getting crushed in the midterms. Bibi only has another week to try to hold on to power.

Against all odds, with almost no one outside of my family, friends, and closest team members believing it was possible - the woman who wrote the tweet below and started this journey by Googling βhow to run for office in Texas,β has flipped an 18 pt Republican seat to become the next Texas State Representative for House District 132.
This is OUR home, and together, we did indeed take it back.
From my day one promise: Zero outside influence. Zero corporate PAC money. Zero values compromised. Just neighbors talking to neighbors and working together to fight for our community.
Of the PEOPLE.
By the PEOPLE.
For the PEOPLE.
PERIOD.
Tomorrow, we sleep. Thursday, we get to work.
Thank you for asking! And for anyone curious about my journey, Iβm happy to share.
I got my first job at Boston Market on Fry Rd when I was 15. Itβs a McDonaldβs now, which is a shame, because I miss the sandwiches.
My second job was at Schlotzkyβs on Mason Rd (old location)
From age 17-19 I worked at Cracker Barrel at I-10 and Barker Cypress.
From age 19-22 I was a bartender. I also got married and had two kids.
At 23, I was divorced with 2 small children and at a cross roads.
I woke up one day and decided that wasnβt the life I wanted for myself or my children. So I moved home with my mom and I enrolled in a Radiology Technology program.
My schedule for the next 2 years was:
School M-F 7:00a-3:00p. Come home, spend time with my kids. Put them to bed and then go to my bartending job from 8:00p-2:00a - back at school at 7:00a the next morning.
I graduated and my first job out of x-ray school was as an x-ray tech in a hospital working what they call a compressed weekend. I worked both Saturday and Sunday from 7:00a-11:00p for a total of 32 hours.
Only, at $16.09 an hour, that wasnβt enough to support my family. So I got an advanced certificate in Mammography and worked at a mammography clinic during the week.
I did that for 4 years. 72 hours a week for 4 years.
Then I was fortunate enough to be promoted into an Imaging Manager position. Not yet ready to slow down, I worked in that position as my day job, while also working at a free-standing ED as a CT/x-ray tech for a 12 hour shift each weekend.
Oh, and while doing all this, I was also chipping away at my Bachelorβs degree.
It wasnβt until 2020 when I graduated from college that, for the first time in 25 years, I had only one job and wasnβt either working a second job or also attending school.
After a break of a few years, I am now working full time and running for office in every second of my spare time.
So, Jay G (if that is your real name), which part of that life experience would make me unqualified to understand the unique challenges that we are facing in this world?
Happy Sunday, everyone!
